What a great experience! The kayak trip along the coast was one of the highlights of the vacation for us. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, the crystal-clear water, and the enthusiastic guidance, thank you Fotios and Aggelos, made this excursion truly special. We heard a lot about myths, legends, and the history of the immediate surroundings, really cool. The pace was relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful bays, the impressive coastline, and the swimming stops along the way. The picnic on the beach with fresh local products was the perfect end to a wonderful morning at sea. A beautiful way to discover Kalamata from the water. Absolutely recommended for young and old!

An amazing day out! Giorgos and Panos are excellent guide — knowledgeable, friendly, well informed and really helpful. The explanations of how to operate the sea kayak & safety techniques (carried out first on quayside and then again with additional relevant guidance on the water) were totally clear. Life jackets were provided. We reviewed paddling techniques and how to create a raft out of a series of kayaks. They were patient and flexible: people who had never kayaked on the open sea felt at ease and people with experience felt attended to. Group size was ok (on our visit, three families: one of 3, one of 4 and one of 6). Thirteen between two guides was well managed. Giorgos’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the landscape and the history of the region was excellent! We explored coastline and even got to visit caves, including the blue cave in which we swam under stalactites! These are spaces virtually inaccessible without a sea kayak and really very beautiful and impressive. We even stopped for a lovely snacky picnic provided by G & P — fresh local veg, cheese, olives & oil and bread followed by nectarines — all eaten while relaxing out of our kayaks on Kalamitsi beach. Photos were taken by G & P throughout and sent to us shortly afterwards by email. They are great guides and teachers: friendly but also make you feel comfortable and they celebrated our efforts throughout. Totally recommend & would do it again in a heartbeat!

Great experience! The guides were amazing, and their love for the area really came through. The best thing about the trip was they took lots of pictures and videos that they sent to everyone. Several times we asked them to take a picture, and they were great! We could focus on the experience and not worry about pictures.

Superb day! Giorgios and Fotios are 2 brilliant guides! We highly recommend. Beyond the superb views, the history lesson and anecdotes give this activity extra appeal.

We had such a great time sea kayaking with Explore Messinia! It was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our trip. The guides were absolutely wonderful – very attentive, caring and friendly, always making sure we felt comfortable and safe. The whole trip was interesting and fun, with beautiful views and amazing places along the coast. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the little stories and information along the way. A truly lovely experience and definitely something we will remember from our trip to Greece. Highly recommended! ❤️

Nice tour with two obvious and skilled instructors. Great experience to paddle kayak into a cave. Even greater experience to swim in a lake inside a cave where the lake was lit from the bottom through exit to the sea. Can be highly recommended.
