We had a wonderful experience at Sajee’s cooking class! My husband, our two kids, and I all loved it. Sajee started by carefully explaining all the ingredients, and everything was explained so clearly. We then cooked several delicious Sri Lankan dishes, including chicken curry, pumpkin curry, okra, and other traditional dishes. Sajee and his wife explained everything in great detail, from how to wash and cook the rice perfectly to making fresh coconut milk from scratch. They were also incredibly kind and patient with our children, who are 8 and 9 years old, and made them feel very involved in the whole experience. It was not only a great cooking class but also a lovely way to learn about Sri Lankan food and culture. We highly recommend Sajee’s cooking class, it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Sajee’s cooking class absolutely lived up to all the great reviews! The class was fun, interesting and very relaxed. We learned a lot about Sri Lankan cooking and had a great time preparing everything together. The food was delicious and we received a whole collection of recipes afterwards, so we can try making everything again at home. A really fun and authentic experience in Sigiriya. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely perfect afternoon and evening with Sajee and Suzi! From the detailed explanations about the different spices all the way to the use of the coconut (milk, powder) and the preparation of 7 different curries and 1 stir fry we learnt so much. Whether you come as a couple or a family, everyone is very welcome. We also got surprised for a birthday, which was such a nice touch, we can’t be more grateful! In short, if you are looking for a unique experience perfectly balancing knowledge, hands-on experience and incredible taste (because yes, the food is delicious on top of this and the ingredient are so fresh!) then definitely go there.

My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful evening with Sajee and his wife! Sajee shared so much interesting knowledge about Sri Lankan spices and traditional dishes, explaining everything in an engaging way. One of the highlights was making fresh coconut milk ourselves—it was such a great hands-on experience! The time flew by, and we enjoyed an incredibly delicious meal together. It was a perfect mix of learning and cooking. We would happily do this experience again anytime and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

We took a cooking class as a family: 2 adults and 3 children aged 20, 19, and 11. Everyone loved it! The explanations are clear, and the atmosphere is friendly; the couple takes the time to explain things well to us. And the result was delicious! We enjoyed tasting our dishes. We will try making some of these dishes again back in France thanks to the PDFs provided after the class. Thank you! And good luck with everything.

Great experience! They even did a extra class for me and my friends. Very authentic experience and a great gids that explains everything about the food. And the food itself was delicious best food we had so far in sri lanka.

Exciting cooking class! The prepared dishes are delicious, you really get hands-on, and you leave with tips that will change your daily life. How to perfectly cook rice, how to perfectly balance spices, and above all, how to recreate these fragrant dishes with our local ingredients! Thanks to Sajee and his wife!
