My husband and I went to Istria with the intention of seeing as much as possible of our surroundings, and we wanted to have some memorable experiences. This was a perfect addition to our trip! Alen was excellent as a guide; he was extremely knowledgeable about wine and local cuisines, he had a lot of information to share about the history of Croatia having being born there, but most of all, it was so enjoyable to spend the day with him! We were picked up in a clean and comfortable, air conditioned van, we visited beautiful wineries over the course of an entire day where we were served quite a variety of wines at each place, as well as food at every stop. Eating plenty of delicious food was both lovely, and necessary in order to keep drinking while still feeling great! Alen also took us for some extra treats along the way; he went above and beyond to show us a wonderful day. We completely enjoyed each aspect of the tour and our time with Alen. We highly recommend this!

Had a great time was a really fun day out. Was picked up from the hotel and taken out all day to 3 different vineyards which were all quite different.

Fantastic Istrian wine tour with Alen! Great wines, olive oils and food, along with beautiful views of the countryside. Well worth the money, highly recommend this tour.

Such a perfect day spent at Austria’s boutique wineries. We had incredible wine and amazing charcuterie boards followed by a lovely dinner. Making the experience even better was our tour guide, Alen. He was so knowledgeable of his homeland, wine, and he was such a joy to talk to and get to know. Couldn’t recommended this enough!

Alen planned the most amazing day for us! He picked us up very close to our Airbnb and took us to three wineries where we sampled about 15 wines total and lots of food. He was so friendly and funny, and answered all of our questions about wine and the history of the region of Istria and Croatia in general. It was one of the best days of our trip. Definitely recommend!!

We did a private wine tour with Alen, and it was the highlight of our 17 day trip to Europe. He was fun, knowledgeable, and responsive. It was a wonderful day, and I can't recommend him enough!

Alen is fantastic! Whatever you book with ‘this is istria’ you won’t be disappointed. We did the full day wine tour (3 wineries), also including some olive oil tasting, and ended with fresh truffle pasta somewhere we’d never venture to ourselves normally. Totally worth it and would book again without a second thought!

Our wine tour with Alan was a highlight of our trip. The three destinations were each unique and the hosts at each winery were welcoming and knowledgeable. We were surprised by the delicious food to accompany the wine, especially at Kadum. Our host was a wonderful cook and we felt at home in the courtyard of this special home. Alan, a certified sommelier, was very knowledgeable about the wines, food, history and politics! We enjoyed chatting with him. We highly recommend this trip.

we had a fabulous day touring 3 wineries. Alen picked us up from our rental in rovinj and we made our way through istria learning all about the wine, soil, topography, and more. the three stops were chosen by Alen: matosevic, damjanic, and veralda. the staff at each were friendly and knowledgeable. we had a variety of red and white wine and food (meat, cheese, bread, olive oil) at each tasting. Alen provided historical and cultural insight throughout the trip. great way to spend a day in croatia!

We had the most amazing day on this tour with Alan. It was just my fiance and myself with Alan so it was a private tour. Alan was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. The wineries he took us to were both beautiful and very different so it was great to experience a small family-run business and then a larger scale establishment - both with the most stunning views. I would highly recommend this tour, we have already planned to do this again next year with our parents.
