This historic city tour was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide was absolutely fantastic; passionate, deeply knowledgeable and full of interesting facts that truly brought Rio’s history to life. The itinerary was perfectly planned, covering great locations in the time available. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time for photos and questions. You do need to be prepared to walk as reasonable distance is covered. If you want to gain a greater understanding of the history of Rio de Janeiro, this tour is an absolute must!

I had a great time walking around the old town with the group. The tour guides were friendly, and patient. The tour itself was informative and most importantly I felt safe.

I enjoyed the walking tour a lot and was able to get a better feel for the downtown area that you may not be able to do from just observing from a vehicle. I have done tours with viator before and enjoyed them. The guides were knowledgeable and we (the tour group) were also able to do lunch with them to fellowship and learn more way as well.

The guide did not know English as well as I expected and misunderstood several of our questions. Perceived him as “go with the flow” and that he did not have a plan, but rather fulfilled his impulses. We also had to pay for both taxi to the “hidden viewpoint” which was only a remote parking spot by the road, and for entrance to the museum.

The guide Lucemir is a great acquaintance of the centre of Rio de Janeiro. With knowledge, good mood and a lot of disposition, we made a trip to the monumental center of the Wonderful City.

Carlos was an amazing tour guide! Super knowledgeable and accommodating, loved the experience overall.

It was less informative than similar tours I've done in many different countries. To be precise, they would walk with us to some buildings and simply say "this is new xyz", or "this is old xyz" without giving any additional historical context. Moreover, they took us to some very random places and when of the other clients asked why are we here (after just roaming around for 5min) they said it was to cool off a bit under the AC.

Lucemir was a fantastic tour guide and I would recommend to anyone. He had great knowledge of the area and he was very energetic on our tour. We were able to see much more than I expected and learned a lot while also getting a lot of pictures along the way.
