I had never done one of these audio guides to replace human guides before. It’s certainly convenient and cheaper. But the amount of information in this case was less than in my cheap guidebook and free internet information. The upside was the voice was reading the written guide in the app which enabled me to look at the art while listening to the audio. A further drawback was that I couldn’t ask questions of the app. So cost and flexibility versus depth and follow up is the issue.

We were able to see all of the sites at our own pace, and spend as much time as we wanted. The audio tour was great.
The digital guide was fantastic. We were able to take our time to visit each site and learned about each one with plenty of time to take photos and take refreshment breaks whenever we wanted.
Easy to follow. Good information. Allows you to visit at your own pace and visit sites along the way.
The narratives were excellent. We used two phones, one for directions and one for the audio. Walking is required of course but very doable. I highly recommend this self guided tour.
It was a great experience!! The map is easy to follow, and the detailed information about the places is amzing. I totally recommend it!
A very good introduction to the major sites in Ravenna. Absolutely worth the 8 e. Remember though, the admission fees to the sites are NOT included. Fortunately we purchased them online the night before - this saved us time from the long queues just to buy the ticket; and then there’s another queue to get into the venue. Another tip is to arrive well before the designated time as you do have to queue just to get in. Despite it being the low season ( we visited in early march) the sites were busy. The good thing about the audio guide, is you can do the tour at your pace and in whatever order you prefer. At a spritely pace, we saw all the sites recommended in the guide and spent a goodly amount of time exploring inside the UNESCO venues, in 5 hours. It’s a bit of a hike to Theodoric’s mausoleum so best to leave 1/2 hour to walk there from the center and leave that to the last.
The guidance waa very good, great information and very complete, I absolutely reccomend buying the ticket for at least 4/5 of the UNESCO heritage places as well as the domus tei tappeti, do not miss it
A gem of late romantic architecture unique in the world and the footprints of the Dante. Amazing that in general this city goes so unnoticed
