サンタポリナーレ・ヌオーヴォ大聖堂は、6世紀の教会で、例外的な初期キリスト教のモザイクで有名です。 テオドリック大王によって建てられたこの建物は、ローマとビザンティンの芸術様式が融合した、聖書の場面と聖人の見事な描写を特徴としている。 聖堂はユネスコの世界遺産に登録されている。
ダンテの墓は 、 『 神曲』の作者である著名な詩人ダンテ・アリギエーリの最後の安息の地です。 故郷フィレンツェを追われたダンテは、1321年にラヴェンナで死去した。 墓は1780年に建築家カミッロ・モリジアが設計した小さな新古典主義建築である。
ネオニア洗礼堂は、5世紀初頭の八角形の建物で、特にイエスの洗礼を描いたドームは、精巧な初期キリスト教のモザイクで有名です。 市内で最も古いモニュメントの1つであり、ユネスコの世界遺産にも登録されていることから、古典的なローマ建築と新しいキリスト教美術の融合を例証している。
ガッラ・プラキディア霊廟は、見事な初期キリスト教のモザイクで有名な5世紀の建物です。 名前に反して、ガッラ・プラキディア皇后の墓というよりは礼拝堂としての役割を果たしたと思われる。 小さな十字型の建物は、満天の星空のモザイクやキリスト教のシンボルなど、ローマとビザンティンの芸術様式が融合した、豊かに装飾された内装が特徴です。 ユネスコの世界遺産に登録されており、初期キリスト教美術の傑作である。

Luana was an excellent tour guide. She was engaging, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all of the historic sites in Ravenna, and was very efficient in planning the tour. Our day was perfectly scheduled. Thanks to Luana’s tour, we truly felt like we gained an understanding of the history of Ravenna! We would highly recommend this tour with Luana to anyone visiting the city!
This was a low impact, slow pace tour of Ravenna. We truly enjoyed Luana and the information she shared with us while on the tour. She followed our pace and shared stories in between us exploring the sites.

Luana is a fantastic guide to discover the wonders of Ravenna. She perfectly managed the timing and attention of our daughters. Helpful and extremely prepared, she will lead you through the heritage of Ravenna by masterfully explaining the symbolism of the mosaics. We did two half-day tours covering almost all the Unesco sites and the Dante area. He also provided valuable advice on activities and restaurants. Absolutely recommended

Luana was an excellent guide. Her pace was just right and the order in which she showed us the different churches helped us understand the historical relevance of the area. Ending at the Basilica of San Vitale was a spectacular culmination of an enjoyable afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her!
Luana is an excellent guide. She is well versed in the history of not only Ravena, but Greek and Roman empires in general. We had a very pleasant 3 hour with her and recommend her without reservation. And, the mosaics are spectacular.
