This was my first lesson. The instructor was patient and knowledgeable. I was able to ride two waves on my first lesson ❤️

The instructor gave the best surfing lesson i’ve ever had. He cares about the quality and the technique of the surfing. Not to many frills to this experience but loads of lessons learned and confidence coming out of the lesson.

Bobo is a great dude who has extensive expierence and teaches you the basics the right way 🤙🏼 Thanks to his guidance we were able to catch our first waves in no time and take full advantage of the time in the water 👌🏼

My 15 year old son and I have surfed just a little bit while on various holidays over the last few years. We are from a place in Canada without waves and we recently took surf lessons with Bobo and had a great experience! We took a 2 hour lesson on two separate days while on holiday in Cabarete - on a Tuesday and Thursday. We have taken surf lessons before in other countries, so do have something to compare Bobo's surf lessons against as a point of reference. Bobo's lessons were some of the best we have experienced! First of all, he is passionate about surfing and sharing his expensive surfing knowledge and it shows. The lesson included many aspects related to surfing - safety, water knowledge, respect and technique. My son and I are surfing beginners, but, can honestly say we learned some valuable skills from our lesson with Bobo; skills that we can use for our next surf adventure. If you are a family looking to take a surf lesson I highly recommend taking them with Bobo.

Highly recommend this for families! Bobo is professional and knowledgeable and gave everyone in our family the tools and confidence we needed to successfully surf, even as complete newbies! Our group was 4 adults and 4 kids ages 7-13 and we all learned to surf within our 2hr time frame with Bobo. The beach in Cabrete is about a 45min taxi ride from Puerto Plata and very scenic as you go through the small local towns. Take your own snacks and water as the little beach places in Cabrete didn’t accept USD or credit cards. Bobo we hope to be back!

Huge appreciation to Bobo and the instructors for a watershed day learning to surf! They were able to teach us beginners; to our wonderful surprise, my husband and I were catching waves within an hour of practice- it was so fun that we came back again to get even better

It was a really nice surf experience! The teachers are very good and take time to explain the technics on land before going in the water. They accommodated me very well when I had to push back the lesson because I was late because of traffic. You learn in a really nice environment!

We had an amazing time! Bobo really took his time to explain everything to us and let us practice on land until we were comfortable and he felt we were ready for the water. You can tell how passionate he is about surfing and how much he loves teaching others about his sport. He helped the four of us, along with another instructor, the whole time we were in the water which really helped us have a great experience. So much fun! Make sure to grab some refreshing juice after from the nice man who drives along the road near the beach.

I had 4 private lessons with Bobo and it turned out to be the best surfing class I could have imagined. I had some basic surf skills and Bobo helped me to work on improving the basics and brought me to the next level. He explained so many details and very thorough analysis about my practice which helped me a lot to improve day by bay. Compared to other schools he is really able to make you ready for the real deal !!!! I can only recommend to reach out to him (via Whatsapp!)
