Huangyaguan Great Wall
It took 2 hours+ to travel from the city center to this, I think, lesser-known Great Wall. Not too many visitors, compared to locations at Badaling or Mutianyu. Certain sections involved climbing many steps. It would take many hours to really explore higher sections of the Great Wall, which we did not attempt. Though satisfied with our climb, we were rather disappointed that we did not see much red Autumn leaves. The driver, Mr Zhang, who provided the comfortable transport, was steady, safe and friendly.
