車でロイヤル デルフトへ。 De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles としても知られるロイヤル デルフトは、17 世紀半ば頃にデルフトとその周辺に誕生した約 32 の陶器工場の中で唯一の生き残りです。 16 世紀後半、地元の粘土を使って東洋の磁器を複製する試みがなされ、デルフトとロッテルダムに陶器工房が設立されました。 1653 年に設立されたロイヤル デルフトは、磁器との競争や経済変動などの課題に適応しながら、何世紀にもわたってさまざまな所有権の変更を経験しました。 19 世紀後半、ヨースト トート氏の指導の下、同社はデルフト ブルー陶器の伝統を復活させ、国際的な名声を獲得しました。その努力が認められ、1919 年に同社には「ロイヤル」の称号が与えられました。現在、ロイヤル デルフトはその豊かな伝統を尊重しながら、デルフトウェアの芸術を保存し、促進するための革新を続けています。

Tour guide Abdullah was great, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us plenty of information about Delft and Rotterdam. The museum was well organized and very interesting with beautiful exhibits and helpful narration. Our favorite exhibit was the one on building materials and decoration.

Very interesting tour. Our guide Abdullah was wonderful. Full of facts and great conversationalist. The Delft museum and factory was interesting and they wrapped my purchases well, so they made it home safely. We very much enjoyed this tour.
