This was a fantastic introduction to the wines of Burgundy. We shared and discussed beautiful wines and the producers and vineyards that created them.

Very interesting wines, very beautiful bottles offered for tasting, selected with care by our host who provides good explanations in parallel. They also have a very beautiful selection of bottles in the shop! A must-do if you wish to taste quality premier crus and grands crus!

Visited Thierry’s wine shop with a longstanding friend (girls went shopping). Excellent degustation of 3 white and 4 reds from reasonably through medium priced to high. Detailed explanation of the sub region they came from, terroir, geographical setting etc etc. Compared to many wine dégustations this was the most detailed and fascinating masterclass in burgundy. Do not hesitate to visit and learn!

Bert Well executed tasting with very good Wiens. You get an really good overview over good Wiens and our grown up children really enjoyed one of their First tastings.

The staff is very pleasant and open to explaining everything. A lovely moment. Unfortunately, I find the price too high for the wines tasted, and the quantity served is really just the bottom of the glass.

Notre dégustation "Le Meilleur de la Bourgogne" se compose de 7 vins issus des 11% des vins les plus prestigieux de Bourgogne. De plus nous sélectionnons avec passion et enthousiasme les vins de petits vignerons pour ces dégustations. Je comprends que le prix puisse étonner mais il est le reflet juste des vins proposés. Concernant la quantité servie, celle-ci est calibrée à 3 cl afin de permettre de déguster sans encombre l'ensemble des vins de la dégustation. Je retiens que vous avez appréciez notre équipe et les explications qui vous ont été données et par dessus tout que vous avez passé un bon moment. N'hésitez pas, lors d'un prochain passage à Beaune, à nous faire part de vos envies en termes de budget afin que nous puissions vous proposer une dégustation plus adaptée. De même, concernant les quantités, nous avons la possibilité de vous servir l'ensemble des vins au verre (12cl). Notre équipe saura s'adapter à vos envies. For €70, I expected more than 7 wines.
Thank you for your comment about your wine tasting with us. We are surprised to read that you found the tasting short. You and your friends spent around 1 hour and a half with your wine guide and as we had no other tasting after yours, he would have been more than happy to answer more of your questions. Regarding the content of the « Best of Burgundy » tasting, this experience offers 7 wines as explained on our page. Those 7 wines are selected from small producers and only from top Premier Crus and Grand Crus in the Burgundy ranking. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting session with Alex. As we were the only 2, made this a very personal and informative experience. Alex provided great context of the different regions and the associated wines we tasted. Would highly recommend.

What a fantastic experience! I did a tasting with my parents and Terry was so informative and took things at a slow pace for us wine novices. It’s a little outside of town but well worth the visit!

We had an incredible wine tasting experience with Alex. We came in knowing almost nothing about Burgundy wines, and by the end, we felt like we had a real understanding of the region. What really stood out was how approachable and engaging Alex was. He explained everything clearly, in a way that was easy to follow without ever feeling oversimplified. We asked all kinds of basic questions, and he answered every one of them with patience and zero judgment, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell he’s deeply knowledgeable, but what makes him exceptional is his ability to share that knowledge in a way that actually sticks. We left not only having tasted great wines, but also with a much deeper appreciation and understanding of Burgundy. Highly recommend this experience, especially if you’re new to wine or just want to learn in a welcoming environment.

Our wine guide Alex was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a really delightful time and met a lovely couple who joined us. The wines were outstanding and of great variety. This is not a typical one domaine tasting. The shop is not in city center with lots of tourists. It is very nicely priced especially for the selection of wines. We highly recommend a visit to the shop for an intimate experience.
