We had an amazing trip! Captain Eric and his crew were fantastic. Great food, whale watching, snorkeling and a beautiful sunset that had the best vibe. One of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. Kids and adults had fun! Highly recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great time on the Lazy Lizard sunset catamaran tour! We booked it for our family, and there were a few other families on board as well. It was a fun, relaxed evening and everyone had a great time. Jose was our captain and he was fantastic friendly, personable, and made sure everyone was having fun. The entire crew was wonderful. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but Emmett was especially great. Such a nice kid! The sunset was beautiful, the food was surprisingly good, and the whole experience was easy and enjoyable from start to finish. A perfect way to spend an evening in Costa Rica with family. Highly recommend Lazy Lizard. Five stars!

This was the highlight of our trip! We sailed out with Erick and his crew on this last Monday, and we are still talking about it on our way home. The transportation was seamless from our hotel only 10 minutes up the road, and after a quick little dingy ride, we were ready to go. The three man crew were SO accommodating and kind. They have everything you might need on board. First, we had a beautiful cruise out to a secluded island beach. On the way there, we caught a humpback whale just off of the side of the boat! Erick tended bar and kept us well hydrated :) at the beach, some of the group opted to snorkel with one of the crew as our guide and some of our group stayed behind and floated on paddle boards and the lily pad. They had plenty of gear for everyone. Once we were ready to cruise again, there was a delicious taco, salad, pasta salad and fresh fruit lunch waiting for us. They had some killer homemade sauces and lunch was really great. The rest of the ride was filled with music, dancing and good laughs. I would not hesitate to book another sunset cruise with these guys. 10/10!

We sailed aboard the Lazy Lizard for a private sunset cruise and everyone loved it! Captain Luis, Junior, and Angel were a stellar team handling our group of 14. The driver was prompt for our pickup and the van comfortably cooled. At the shoreline we boarded a small launch to take us to the catamaran and the staff were very helpful in getting us on safely. The boat was spacious for a group of our size, there was plenty of room for everyone to sit and move around. Angel gave us a briefing on the schedule and off we went sailing to Honeymoon Beach. Junior and Angel were attentive to everyone, routinely circling the boat with snacks and offers to get more drinks if they saw our empty cups. The water at the cove was a little choppy, but with a lily pad, SUPs, and pool noodles, everyone that wanted to be in the water could be in it safely. The snorkeling wasn’t the best as you had to get closer to the rocky shore to see things, but swimming out to open ocean I saw a massive sea turtle! We were there for 1.5 hours which was plenty of time for multiple water activities. Lunch/dinner signaled the end of our time there. We boarded the boat for chicken tacos, salads (with delicious fruity dressings), and dessert. The crew again made rounds to make sure plates and cups were recycled (I appreciate an eco forward tour) and more drinks poured. Luis then made a bigger loop back to the shore while we admired the islands and sunset. Junior took a great group photo for us, and sadly the cruise was over. We had fun on this well-oiled tour and would highly recommend getting a private tour instead of joining a group. The price difference is worth the freedom of picking your music, not worrying about your stuff being taken by other passengers, and being at ease moving around the boat. Thank you for making us feel special Cpt. Luis, Angel, and Junior!

What an amazing time! After three visits to Costa Rica, our kids (12 and 15) declared this their best excursion ever! Our family of 17 all enjoyed the cruising, the swimming, the sunset, and the tacos! Constant snacks, drinks, and wonderful customer service. So grateful to Captain Josue, Erick, and David, our tattoo champion. Make sure you’re prepared to get in the tender boat (they were great with two of our party who had just had shoulder surgeries). Also, there is a non-affiliated “parking guy” in a vest who will continue to encourage you to move your cars so he can “watch them” (re: get a tip when you return 😊).

Great experience, well organized and very charming crew. It helped that we had an epic sunset and perfectly timed clouds for dinner. Wonderful snorkeling and time on the Maui mat. Fun waves with kiddos “flying” on the canopy. Great afternoon and sunset, highly recommend.

Such an amazing experience! We had our 3 girls (8-11) with us, and we all had such a blast. We saw dolphins and a stingray! The service was awesome. We had unlimited drinks for adults and the kids. Fifi, Angel, and Captain Josue were awesome. They took such good care of us. The drinks were great. After we swam and played in the water, they fed us tacos and super fresh salad and fruit. On the way back to the marina, we were dancing and singing, and the sunset was stunning. It was the last night of our vacation, and it was just perfect!

I booked a private sunset tour for a group of 16 and it was amazing. We ranged in age from young 20s to 80s and all enjoyed it. The pickup from our location in Playa Potrero was flawless. The crew (Angel, Luis and Anderson) were great -they were interactive and knowledgeable and my family had a blast with them. The food and drinks were delicious and the boat ride was beautiful. We saw some fish while snorkeling, and having the option to kayak, paddle board or just float around was perfect. I am very glad we did this and would do so again if we went back.

Unforgettable experience!!! Pablo, Erick & the captain Luis made sure we had the most beautiful time during our visit to Guanacoste !
