吉野山は、1,300 年の歴史を持つ金峯山寺を中心とする吉野町にある、ユネスコの世界遺産に指定された山岳寺院地区です。その通りや小道からは、春には何千本もの神聖な桜が咲き誇り、秋には燃えるような色彩など、季節とともに変化する周囲の風景の素晴らしい景色を眺めることができます。このツアーは、ガイドと一緒にこの地区を歩き、ここにある素晴らしい観光スポットのコレクションを訪れることを基本としています。 この地区のメインストリートには、歴史や自然の名所のほかに、伝統的な商店、レストラン、旅館が数多く立ち並んでいます。専門の地元ガイドが、柿の葉巻き寿司や葛菓子など、さまざまな地元の名物グルメをご紹介します。
鐘の鳥居（西暦1348年） 高さ 7.6 メートルのこの青銅の鳥居は、修験道行者が伝統的に吉野山の約 24 キロ南にある大峰山の頂上に向かう途中でくぐる 4 つの鳥居のうちの 1 つです。この門をくぐることは、俗界から神聖な修行の山域へ至る重要な一歩を表します。
金峯山寺（蔵王堂）。 約1300年前、修験者役行者によって創建されたとされる寺院。現在の本堂（蔵王堂）は1592年に建立され、日本で2番目に大きな木造寺院と言われており、周囲の森の巨木を柱に用いて山の稜線に堂々と建立されています。金峯山寺は、土着の宗教である修験道の重要な拠点であり、桜を聖なるシンボルとする蔵王権現を祀っています。 このツアーではゲストを蔵王堂に連れて行き、修験道の歴史と、修験道が私たちに日本の文化全体について何を教えてくれるのかを学びます。
上千本桜林。 3番目に高い桜の霊木林を、周囲の景観を眺めながら登山道を歩く。 春は雪のように降る桜、寒い季節は燃えるような紅葉と、季節によって違った自然美が楽しめるコーナーです。

- 上り坂（標高差約400m）を歩くのが苦手な人は、バスかロープウェイを選択。 上千本桜林を登るハイキングに代わるハイキングコースもご希望に応じて手配可能です。
- 桜の季節（例年3月下旬～4月中旬）は吉野山が大変混雑するため、ガイド料金が若干高くなります。この時期は蔵王堂の入場料も値上がりします。
- 桜の季節（通常3月下旬から4月中旬）は、吉野山のレストランで席を見つけるのが非常に困難になります。そのため、お客様には昼食をご持参いただくことをお勧めします。ガイドが適切な場所を見つけます。ランチを食べる。
- 吉野山は人気が高く、桜の開花時期には人混みが激しくなり、参加者のツアー全体の催行にも影響が出そうだ。 人混みを避けたい方は、桜の季節以外にこのツアーに参加されることをお勧めします。

Absolutely incredible. Our guide, Nathan, was well informed and was able to answer all of our questions with ease. Being a native English speaker, it was very easy to communicate with him and answer all of the niche questions that we couldn't easily ask Japanese natives. He also took us along a back path that we never would have found exploring on our own, which provided incredible views of the natural beauty of the area. Easily a 5/5, cannot recommend this enough if you're in the area.

Great day out with Nathan. We were a bit early for full Sakura bloom but it was still lovely to go up Mt Yoshino. He was very informative, and we got to see the village, the Sakura tier zones and also walked through some of the zones. A good day out.

Wow! This was a truly great tour visiting the beautiful sites around Yoshino and learning vast amounts of local history from the amazing english speaking tour guides! Yoshino felt like a true paradise of quiet charm, an escape away from the busier areas of Kansai. I was incredibly lucky to be travelling at just the right time to be able to witness the three statues of the bodhisattva Kongo Zao-Gongen, which are hidden throughout much of the year. These three statues of the bodhisattva Kongo Zao-Gongen represent the protection over the past, present and future.If you can try and visit at a time when you can see these statues as they are truly impressive. I had a great time exploring the streets of Yoshino and the guide pointed out the unique architecture of the area with houses built right on the precipice of the mountain and the businesses on the top floors with the living areas beneath them. I'm also so glad that I took the time to collect Goshuin seals from some of the temples. Before leaving I highly recommend purchasing some of the local traditional sweets made from Kuzu (arrowhead root) as a souvenir, they are super delicious.
