Best experience ever! My 9-year old nephew, who has never surfed, got a private lesson from Robbie. Robbie was amazing and had my nephew up, surfing in a matter of minutes. My nephew can be shy, and a little apprehensive in the ocean, but he trusted Robbie completely! I highly recommend Sandbar Surf school!!

My husband’s first experience surfing was with Sandbar Surf School a few years ago. We live in the Midwest so definitely don’t have access to practice. When he has a chance to return to Pismo Beach he always makes time to surf with these guys. This week for the first time we brought two young grandchildren and I was nervous about trusting them with strangers in the open ocean but I could not be more pleased. These guys are great. The kids had three lessons in two days, including an incredible sunset tour. They were very well taught, assisted, and kept safe. They also had a blast and gained quite a bit of skill for their age and time on the water. We hope to be back!

Brought family from Florida to drive down the PCH. One of our stops was Pismo Beach and we booked Sandbar Surf School to give it a try. I highly recommend them. Jonny and Shane were our instructors. From the moment we walked up and were greeted by them with humor and good vibes (and their dog), I knew it was going to be a good morning. They oriented us (me, wife, 2 teenage daughters) to surfing, got us fitted with wetsuits and had us practice on the sand before getting in the water. Shane kept a close eye on us while in the water going from one person to the next helping them with technique and catching waves. Jonny kept an eye on us to make sure no one was in distress. It was a great experience, and despite 10 days on the PCH it was my daughters favorite and most memorable moment. Thanks guys.

A great experience in a private lesson for our family, kids aged 9 and 11. Right from the start everything was cheerful, upbeat and good fun and the instructors were extremely patient with both my wife and I and especially our son with neurodiversity Ultimately we all managed to get o our feet and ride a wave, a brilliant feeling. I'm now being asked for surfboards for christmas!!! Absolutely recommended.

We had an amazing time on our surf lesson. I attended with my two kids aged 14 and 8. I was a little apprehensive about taking my youngest,but I was quickly reassured, and we all absolutely loved it. All the instructors were brilliant, super supportive and encouraging, but a special mention to Connor who was amazing with my kids. Everything was supplied wetsuits, boards etc, and my son really loved his free croc charm he was given at the end. So glad we did this, it was one of the highlights of or holiday.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Sandbar, right from getting wetsuits and boards, through to the lesson. Kids and adults had a blast!

I and my son had private surfing lessons. The lesson was amazing . The instructor was so fun so patient and a great teacher. My 18 yr old had a blast . I had a fantastic time . I definitely would recommend of you are looking for a fabulous school look no further
