In general, a guided bike tour is a nice way to get to know Gothenburg. The young guide from Eastern Europe was friendly and informative, the rental bike served its purpose well, the saddle was easy to adjust in height, considerate behavior from everyone, and good bike paths contributed to a pleasant riding experience. But: When booking, there was no third option to choose from besides a) a specific hotel or b) being picked up in general. The third option was - if I remember correctly - simply grayed out. Therefore, I incurred a charge of 147.93 euros as a solo traveler. I had also sent a message stating that I wanted to come from my accommodation in the northern archipelago to the meeting point at Gustav-Adolfs-Torg, so I did not need to be picked up; however, this did not change the unreasonably high price. Therefore, a deduction of points.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great bike ride in Gothenburg with Emo Tours Sweden! 🚴♂️ Our guide, Hamdy, was incredible – very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. I got to see and learn so much about Gothenburg’s history, culture and hidden gems. Discovering the city by bike was really the best way to see and experience Gothenburg. Highly recommended!

We booked a private city tour in Gothenburg through Viator, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The tour company initially contacted us to reschedule from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM due to a lack of available guides. On the day of the tour, they contacted us again, stating they would be 15 minutes late, but in reality, they arrived 35 minutes late. To our surprise, the tour was not private as advertised. Our guide rented city bikes for the tour, but the quality was extremely poor—no helmet options, and the bikes had limited functional brakes, making the ride unsafe. Throughout the tour, the guide was frequently on his phone, either texting or calling, which took away from the overall experience. To make matters worse, 40 minutes into the tour, we stopped for a coffee break, which wasted another 40 minutes of our time. After the break, the guide offered little to no interaction or information about the city. He didn’t pay attention to the group, which felt particularly unsafe in traffic. We were so disappointed with the tour that we decided to leave early. This experience fell far short of our expectations, and we do not recommend this tour company for anyone looking to explore Gothenburg safely and informatively.

Tour was very good and all the family enjoyed it. We have a 10 year old girl and they did not have bike for kids but guide resolved it.

Was an amazing tour we highly recommend it the guide picked us up from the hotel and was patient and pleasant he is very well versed in the history of Gothenburg and culture.. we had a nice time in the harbor park and Haga district!!

Hamdy was a friendly and knowledgeable host. He showed up at my hotel on time. He did not ride too quickly or too slowly, and he knew all the traffic laws, which was important because there is a lot of activity in the street. He knew a lot about the history of the city. Hamdy was such a nice, accommodating host. He showed up on time at my hotel. He was very knowledgeable about the city. He did not ride too quickly or too slowly. He was a friendly person to ride around the city with. He was safe, which I noticed because there is car, train, and pedestrian traffic in some places. He knew the correct lanes to be in. I got some exercise (not too much) with him which was good before my flight. A STRONG RECOMMEND!

This was such a fun way to experience and see as much as Gothenburg as possible when I arrived and had limited time. They were also very accommodating of my last minute booking which I appreciated. The guide was very knowledgeable and took pictures and videos of the ride for us.
