Percy was absolutely amazing! To start, he made himself available to pick my wife and I up early upon request. Secondly, Percy is extremely personable and knowledgeable about Belize’s history and culture. We had an amazing time talking about birds of the region and facts about the area/things we saw! I highly highly highly recommend choosing Percy as your Altun Ha excursion choice!
Thank you for reviewing and visiting Belize! We really appreciate your support.
What and amazing day! Percy added the Altun Ha Mayan ruins to our trip without hesitation as we were close. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We ziplined and did the cave tour as well. Our adventure was totally awesome and did not disappoint! Percy is very knowledgeable about the history of Belize and shares many stories and adventures. He called me before our travel date to let me know what to expect and what we would need. He spent 10 hours with us and it was like we had been friend for a lifetime...very personable and has a great attitude...he LOVES what he does! Highly recommend booking with Royal Belizean Adventures!
Thank you for writing your experience for our future guests to see the type of efforts we put into each tour. I’m glad that you enjoyed your day and we will be sure to continue to up keep the standard. Namaste
the cave rafting was incredible. the ruins were worth seeing . i was very disappointed with lunch . i paid a great deal for my tour , lunch was one flour tortilla with stewed chicken and watermelon juice , no rice or beans . i expected more for over $200 each .
Thank you for your honest review, on the day of your tour it was a holiday and our usual restaurant did not make rice and beans on that day however, we offered you different lunch options and you chose the chicken burrito. We also offer all our guest fresh natural fruit juices or sodas along with your lunch, therefore I am not sure what was the issue with the water melon juice. However, I apologise, and I assure our future guest that this is a rare occurrence.
We were not able to go on our adventure due to a tropical storm that came through. The company was very accommodating, and offered to rebook for another day or activity. We couldn’t due this due to travel plans, but received a prompt refund. I will reach out next time we’re in Belize and use Royal Belizean Adventures. I’m impressed with their quick response and handling of the situation.
Thanks James, we appreciate your honest review. We will remain true to our core values of honesty and fairness.

Jeff was an amazing guide and an exceptional host. We had a great time and saw howler monkeys on river while cave tubing. We got in before the big cruise tours and had a personalized experience. Thank you Jeff!

Fred was our tour guide. When we booked we didn’t realize that it would be just my wife and myself. It worked out great and he was friendly, professional and very accommodating. Loved the cave experience. The ruins provided some insight into ancient Mayan civilization and Fred was very knowledgeable. The lunch was simple and delicious.

I had arranged with the owner, Percy, to be picked up at my resort for a day trip to Altun Ha and cave kayaking. I would be accompanying some people being picked up from a cruise ship, but since Altun Ha and the caves were in opposite directions, I would be picked up first, then the others, and we would go first to the cave. The cave kayaking at Nohoch Che'en was great! Our driver and guide, Jeff Dawson, was pleasant, personable, and professional. It was AFTER experiencing the cave, and I mentioned the ruins, that Jeff informed me that the other people had signed on to go to the howler monkey sanctuary, and we were not going to Altun Ha! He seemed genuinely surprised that I had expected otherwise. Owner Percy did not care to address this, other than to claim it was an "honest mistake" on his part ... despite all the repetitions of Altun Ha and ruins, and his explanation regarding pickup arrangements that Altun Ha was in the opposite direction from the caves, necessitating that I be picked up before the cruise vacationers, rather than after. Essentially, too bad, I asked for A and was given B, there's nothing he could do about it, and no compensation was forthcoming. Horse manure!
Firstly, let me set one thing straight YOU WERE NEVER SOLD cave tubing and Altun Ha. When you called me the evening before the tour asking if we had space for 1 passenger I explained that we DID NOT have any tour going to Altun ha but we did have a tour that involved the caves however the second part of the tour included monkeys and lunch and NOT Altun Ha. David Pawson, you agreed to joining the tour and was even given a discounted price because I told you that the tour was different from what you originally wanted and you agreed. If you wanted to do the first part of the tour and knew you DID NOT want to do the monkeys, you should have said so instead of blatantly lying. Furthermore, you have the right to your opinion but calling our services horse manure is highly misleading, inappropriate and disrespectful. Shameful
Company canceled trip at the very moment we were scheduled for pickup claiming the caves were dangerous and closed. Luckily we found a travel agent at our hotel that knew people that worked at the caves and turns out it was still open and we went with another company. It was absolutely not dangerous as a matter of fact it was extremely tame. I completely understand canceling but why lie? And why couldn’t they still come get us and do the rest of the tour with the ruins half? Good customer service wouldn’t be just cancel even if this was the case, I would expect someone to contact me and see if there was something they could do with us instead of just leaving us stranded for the day.
We reserve all right to cancel a tour if we deem the cave conditions unsafe. Many people get hurt because of greedy tour operators when the cave systems aren't at normal water levels. Also, at no point did we lie to you about anything as the caves were infact closed and wasn't announced open until approximately 10:00 a.m that morning. At the time the river was still high and moving fast. As a tour operator who takes alot of guest through the cave yearly; I can not and will not jeopardize your safety just because they reopen the cave 2 hours after your tour was to begin. Hopefully next time you can get to experience the exceptional quality services we provide and leave us a review of how we really operate. Thank you
