We had Luca and Luigi as our driver. Despite it being the holiday and very hot they gave us a great day. We had an added bonus boat ride as well.
This tour in the air conditioned van was AMAZING!! Our tour guide was exceptional, and it was the perfect way to see beautiful Positano, quaint Ravello, and glorious Amalfi.
We had the absolute best day on this tour with Antonio Carola as our guide. We learned so much on the drive and he gave us great recommendations of where to go in each city. Plenty of time to explore each, and I’m so glad we chose this shore excursion!

Today was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our Mediterranean cruise. Walking through the ancient streets of Pompeii was like stepping into a time capsule. It’s hard to believe that almost 2,000 years after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, so much of this remarkable Roman city remains. The streets, houses, shops, bathhouses and even the wheel ruts left by Roman carts tell the story of a thriving city frozen in time. A special mention goes to our guide, Josephina, who was simply outstanding. Her knowledge, passion and storytelling brought Pompeii to life in a way that books and documentaries never could. She explained not only the history of the city but also the everyday lives of the Romans, making us feel as though we were walking alongside them. She was engaging, entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable—the best tour guide we’ve had on our entire trip. Seeing the ingenious water system, public baths, fountains and remarkably advanced homes gave us a real appreciation of just how sophisticated Roman civilisation was. Every corner revealed another fascinating story. The excursion was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, there was plenty of time to explore, and we returned to the ship with a much deeper appreciation of one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures. If Pompeii is on your bucket list, don’t hesitate—it exceeded every expectation. It’s one of those rare places where history truly comes alive and a visit you will never forget.

World Tours vehicles are very clean and air conditioned ( we saw quite a few of them on our excursion). There was a plentiful supply of cold bottled water onboard. Our guide (Antonio Carola) was easy to find at the cruise port. He was very friendly and full of knowledge. The first place we went to was Ravello, up in the mountains. This was just a drive-through. Then through Ravello down at sea level and onto stops in Amalfi and Positano where we had free time to explore. Antonio took us via the outskirts of Sorrento, onto the Autostrada, for a quick journey back to our cruise ship in Salerno. Overall a great excursion!

Gino Rosamo was the best guide we had whilst we were in Naples. Kind considerate and informative. In all there were 7 of us in his clean comfortable mini bus. He gave us plenty of time everywhere and did a few photo stops along the coast. Definitely knew and enjoyed taking with us in English about Italy and our tour - Positano & Sorrento. Best trip. From Naples, Sorrrento, Positano and Amalfi Premium We were picked up by “Eugene” our driver who became a lifelong friend by the end of the day. An expert professional tourguide with fabulous local knowledge and a sense of humour to match We saw all the wonderful sights the Amalfi cost has to offer and more even tasted some Limoncello. We took a van tour of Amalfi, Sorrento, and Positano, and the experience was excellent. The tour was very well organized, and we were able to enjoy incredible places. I want to especially highlight our guide, Rafael, who did an exceptional job. He explained everything very clearly and professionally, providing interesting information throughout the journey. Additionally, he was very fun and kind, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the entire group. He also paid attention to every detail during the excursion and kindly took photos for us whenever we asked, something we greatly appreciated that allowed us to take wonderful memories from the trip. This was an amazing tour led by the wonderful tour guide Anna. Each stop was beautiful, Anna provided the historical and cultural significance of each location, and the driver expertly handled the winding roads up the coast. We had ample time in each location to explore and take in the sights. The tour company was also quite flexible to handle last minute changes from our group (15 people), and they were able to still deliver an exceptional experience.
