ポンペイの遺跡は、ナポリ湾沿岸に近いカンパニア地方南部の広大な考古学遺跡である。 かつて繁栄し洗練されたローマ都市であったポンペイは、紀元79年のヴェスヴィオ山の壊滅的な噴火の後、何メートルもの灰と軽石の下に埋められました。 保存された遺跡の特徴は、発掘された通りや、訪問者が自由に探索できる家屋が残っている。

フォルムの北側は木星神殿が支配している。 ローマのカピトリウムを模したユピテル、ユーノー、ミネルウァの3体のカルト像は、フォルム広場を通る人にも見えるように高い台座に置かれた。
マケッラムは凝灰岩のクアドリ柱廊からなり、東側には礼拝用のホールが入り口に沿って高台に設けられている。 ポンペイのマケッラムは、人々が食料を買うことができる都市市場に他ならなかった。
アボンダンツァ通りはカンパニア州にある古代都市ポンペイのメインストリートの一つで、フォルムと円形劇場を結んでいた。
スタビアン浴場（スタビアンこうじょう、）は、イタリア・ポンペイにある古代ローマの浴場であり、市内に5つある公衆浴場の中で最古かつ最大のものである。
エロティックな絵が描かれたポンペイの売春宿。 売春宿の売春婦は、ほとんどがギリシャ人と東洋人の奴隷であった。
大劇場ではギリシア・ローマの伝統の喜劇や悲劇を代表した。 劇場は噴火の堆積物から完全に解放された最初の大きな公共建築物であった。

Great service, got us to where we wanted to go.
Great Mercedes Transport to and from Sorrento , informed guide who gave just the right level of information and lunch in a beautiful vineyard with wine tasting. Perfect way to do it. Take a hat and lots of cold water and sunscreen. There is little shade at Pompei. Don’t be tempted to do Herculaneum on the same day. Avoid the cameo sales pitch and get a cold drink instead!
We really had an amazing time visiting Pompeii.
We had a family of four with a 9 year old child and 76 year old senior. Our family did the Pompeii tour and lunch. The tour was very informative, the guide was fantastic. The group is relatively small. The headsets helped a lot. The lunch was at a charming winery to end our trip. It was perfect for a family half day trip.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. We went a very nice route and learned fighting mass in the 2 hours
The whole excursion was amazing! Everything was one time and organized wonderfully. The olive oil at the vineyard was so good we bought a few bottles to go home with too.

A visit to Pompei is a must. If you want to have a good experience go with a small group with an experienced guide. If you want to have a stressless trip use a tour company that provides transport and an onboard guide. To top off the experience and make it memorable a visit to a winery with lunch and wine tastings makes this a must do. Make your trip truly memorable and use this company.
