My mother and I recently cruised to Amber Cove and Rigo Taxi was highly recommended in one of my travel groups. Our driver for the day was Rigo’s brother Leonel. I’ve been to RD at least 7 times but this was my mother’s first visit. I wanted her to experience the culture and see as much of “my second home” as possible plus a little relaxation at the beach. Our tour started with a visit to the Macorix rum factory with a tasting. Then we headed into town where we visited the Amber Museum, a church, cigar store, umbrella street and shops. Leonel was very informative and showed us so much in such a short visit. Then we headed to the beach to relax with cerveza Presidente. We always felt safe and made it back to port with plenty of time prior to our departure. My mom said she loved everything about our day (mission accomplished!). This was my first visit to the north coast and I will definitely be back. I want to see more and will always contact Rigo. Thanks guys for a great day!!!!
