Prasat Phnom Chisor (Phnom Chisor Temple) は、11 世紀にクメール帝国の王 Suryavarman 1 世によってラテライトと彫刻が施された砂岩のまぐさとレンガで建てられたアンコリアン寺院で、元の名前は Sri Suryaparvata (太陽の山を意味します) です。この寺院は、高さ 133 m のチソル山に建てられ、ヒンズー教のシヴァ神とヴィシュヌ神に捧げられています。山の東端、寺院の裏手には、周囲の田んぼと田園地帯の広大な平野を見ることができるビューと写真の絶好のスポットがあります。そこから東を見下ろすと、十字形の平面の 2 つの外門 (テンプル) とバライを含む 3 つの主要な機能を結ぶ直線を形成する大通りが見えます。
2 つの図書館の建物を備えた正方形の砂岩寺院、アーチ型のギャラリーとパビリオンを備えた外側の囲い、恒久的な盆地を備えた別の囲い、および東西に入り口のゴプラを備えた大きな寺院複合施設。この寺院は、12 世紀後半または 13 世紀初頭のジャヤヴァルマン 7 世王の治世中に建てられました。

Our guide, Sohpy, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable about history and culture. The ancient temples that we visited are a record of the unique religious traditions of Cambodia.
Wonderful experience with Mr. Long Vannak. He is patient, talkative and knowledgeable. Lunch is simple and tastes nice. As a Chinese, from what we learnt from social media, we had safety concerns and prejudice before we come Phnom Penh, but it turns out very safe and smooth. With Vannak’s introduction, we walk into the markets and try the local snacks. Local people are friendly and honest, just as my neighbors in China or in Singapore, though I cannot understand their language. Thanks for Vannak guiding us through this experience. I do hope there will be more travelers come to Cambodia. If one shortage I would say, the price is not cheap.

This tour was a great insight into Cambodia’s culture. You visit many beautiful locations outside of the city proper. The view atop Samraong is especially beautiful.
