Hugo was just a wonderful guide who told very interesting stories about some of the folks buried or honored at Pere Lachaise. As an amateur historian, I really enjoyed his tour because he delved into the history behind the cemetery. It is really a microcosm of the last 225 years of Paris. We have been to Pere Lachaise at least 2, maybe 3 times, in the past, on our own and just wondered around with the cemetery map without much other information. Hugo really brought the cemetery to life!
Maria was wonderful! She shared all the history and stories of the cemetery and really made it incredibly interesting! We had a wonderful time!! Highly recommended!!!
This was one of the best tours we had during our 3-week visit to Paris. Our tour guide, Tamar, provided great information and stories about the graves we visited. We appreciated having her take us to a few sites that were particularly interesting to us, such as the grave of Frederic Chopin. The cemetery is huge. If you want to see specific sites and highlights, this tour is highly recommended!
Hugo was extremely knowledgeable around the history of the cemetery and many of the people laid to rest there. His tour was fun , enlightening and a great learning tool for those looking for a deeper connection to the past. Absolutely wonderful!

Tamari A did a fantastic job showing us Père Lachaise Cemetery. I'm so glad we booked a tour because there was no way we would have been able to find all the graves on our own. Tamari provided so much history and was incredibly knowledgable about the cemetery's occupants. Although we booked the semi-private tour, we only had one other (super fun) couple with us so the tour felt very intimate. We had plenty of laughs and an honest/deep appreciation for life during this visit. I cannot recommend Tamari A enough!
It turned out to be a private tour for my husband and I. François is so authentic , warm ,entertaining as he took us around. Wonderful storyteller, and brought history and Paris to life! Would highly recommend!

Today we had a guided tour at Pere lachaise Where we meet Georgia.. She is a very energetic and entertaining guide.. and she has a lot of knowledge of the cemetery. So that combined and good weather.. what more do you want..... The made for us the best tour of our trip to Paris.. So if you ever book at babylon make sure you get Georgia... And you will have the best tour of your trip....
Having a guide like Tamari show us around and share her knowledge and anecdotes about this famous cemetery and it's occupants made this an enjoyable and worthwhile outing for us. She was great.
