Good smoked pork, fun show

Food was pretty good, the show was amusing although a little bit staged. Still fun and enjoyable.

The most unscrupulous money grab in Pigeon Forge

This has to be one of the most unscrupulous money grabs in Pigeon Forge. They basically exploit peoples peoples pre-existing expectations of what a dinner and show typically provides and offer the absolute bare minimum while still "technically" qualifying to be called that. The most impressive thing about this whole operation is just how creative they have found ways to cut cost and still be labeled a dinner and show. Not only did we waste hundreds of dollars but we also wasted three hours of time when the whole experience could have fit into 45 minutes.. When ordering tickets they said to arrive at 6:30 for the 8:00 show. Turns out the whole pathetic dining experience took about 20 minutes. You will basically dipping your own food and eating it on rickety picnic tables outdoors. The food was not terrible, just not memorable either. Then we sat around outdoors without great seating or air conditioning until the show started. They spend zero effort or investment in giving the experience a logging theme or magical atmosphere. When i went into the gift shop I realized just how poorly this whole thing was managed. It looked like whoever was in charge of the gift shop just ordered every item off the first two pages off the most generic giftshop catalog and said " OK, got that out of the way". The show itself had very little Wow factor and was presented as an honest competition, which it clearly was not. Unless you are really into timber sports you will probably be bored. I dont want to dish too hard on the athletes because they probably were some of the best in their sport but is a person sawing through a log in 3 seconds versus you average joe doing it in 4.5 seconds really that entertaining?. Here is my suggestion for whoever is running this tourist trap; not that these will make this thing more profitable I assume this thing is outrageously profitable already. Shrink the whole thing down to 45 minute experience, cut the price in half and market it as a budget dinner show, which is what it is. (The fact that this thing is priced about the same as Dolly Parton's Stampede should be criminal. They are not even in the same galaxy) Give the eating area a logging theme with museum style artifacts, displays and information.. Replace the timber sport competition with an actual logging themed show complete with acrobatics or gymnastics and a little more showmanship. (athletes are not great showmen). If this review helps even one family from wasting three hours of their limited time in the Smokies on this disaster it is worth the time it took me to write it. Paula Deans you should be ashamed.

Family fun

The food was ok but the experience was great. The show was interactive and fun. Three generations of family and all were entertained. We would definitely recommend this for a fun evening out.

Rain Rain let us eat.

We went to early show. Had bad rain but not the shows problem except not enough seating out of the rain. Food was just poor. The only good things were dessert. Kids enjoyed the show and for the money that was okay. Would not do again because been there done that.

Great employees, terrible food, definitely not an all you can eat

Best part: The show and employees were absolutely fabulous, however that's were the best ends. All you can eat: The venue is advertised all you can eat, to me is somewhat deceptive. There are 2 carts set up, a limited amount of people let into the area to make their plates. If the venue is booked up you will be lucky to get your meal before the show begins. If you want seconds you have to get back in line behind people who haven't gotten their first plate of food. When we were there the line was backed all the way around the front of the building of people waiting to eat so there was no way of getting more food. When we go to a buffet we only get small amounts of food so not to waste any. Had I known the situation I would have gotten more food, I ended up having to give my food to our 3 children who was still hungry. I ended up not getting but a bit of this and that. I was hungry but can honestly say I wasn't missing anything. The food was far from what we expected for Paula Deen, for me it was terrible. Our family stopped after the show to get food since we did not get enough thinking we could go back and the taste not being great. There should have been a separate area for people getting seconds to go too. Dining area: The dining area is an open covered pavilion with fans. That being said, the "feels like temp" that day was 104. Fans, a lot of hot sweaty people, many irritated with the food venue definitely didn't make for a pleasant experience. Show: The show is also an open covered pavilion, again very hot. The show was high energy, great characters, our kids loved it. Employees: All of the employees in each department were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, so nice. The women working the snack stand were just absolutely the sweetest. The girl in the front gift shop also one of the nicest you ever met. The gentleman working the exiting gift shop made you feel like you were the most important customer there.

Great for the kids!

Well scripted show, great for the kids, and involved them in the show. Buffet was decent, and served in a different part of the complex before the show using picnic tables as dinning area.

Not worth the price

The food was just average at best. Nothing had any seasoning for flavor , so everything was blasé. We did enjoy the show. The participants gave a good show. overall though, It definitely was not worth the price. We got there an hour before the show in order to eat. So it all lasted about 3 hours. It was not very crowded. The whole family could enjoy the show. There were a lot of kids in the audience that really wanted the cookies, but at least half of the cookies went to adults.

Show 👍🏻 Food 👎

The food was very disappointing. Pork, Mac & cheese, slaw, bread, canned green beans and corn. The end.

Cow bells, wooden cookies and Adam, OH MY!

We had an absolute blast at the show! The entire cast was hilarious, incredibly friendly, and more than happy to stick around afterward for photos and autographs—all with the biggest smiles on their faces. But hands down, the MVP of our night was Adam Baker. Not only did he get us our cowbells and axes, but he also patiently pointed us in the right direction (more than once, poor guy! 😂). He answered all our questions, kept us laughing during our photos, and made us feel so incredibly welcome. Adam truly was the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae of an evening!
