Beware. They changed timings on us and we would have missed our cruise. We got the whole excursion for 1/3rd the price by booking at cruise terminal. Avoid at all costs and save headache
Our company has served many cruise clients to sail to Magdalena, always remember that weather problem or other last minute situation can vary, and the schedules too, but we are flexible and we give a full refund if that problem appears.
I went with my brother to take the tour and see penguins, at first I was hesitant to buy from the company due to some not very good comments on this service, but I decided to trust and everything turned out well, very good service, I would do it again, greetings with the guide María Teresa.

Their communication was very poor about directions as to all information to meet and time. They canceled via email at the last minute via email. No one showed up to communicate at security area. This is a very poor excursion company.
we want to inform that for extra or other reasons it was impossible for us to deliver the service as we always do, in this case we always informed the client the messages are there and exist in the portal which you answered we do not understand the communication issue also we always monitored with the available logistics the situation to inform . the problem at the end was bad weather, very windy, impossible and DANGEROUS to do this navigation, the first thing here is the SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE. it is necessary to explain well and be clear before writing. on the other hand we made a full refund process.
We booked this tour months in advance, only to have it canceled 3 days beforehand (but not because of weather). We spoke with other tour companies on our originally scheduled tour date, who said that a cruise ship was in town and we likely got bumped. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because they offered alternative dates and a full refund, but we did not have the flexibility to change with such late notice.
it is a bit unfortunate that you wanted to write the comment but you are totally wrong in your reasoning, we will explain clearly so that you understand the following when you make a reservation it is confirmed but it is not really so we have to see the agendas of the days that corresponds in your case, as you say it was for several days and weeks in advance but already came with problems that day the company makes a wait to see if there are cancellations cancellations as has happened on other occasions and adds the other reserves this is normal is that time was not achieved and tried to communicate with you but it was not possible because of the connection issue without wifi you insisted and in the end as you say missing 3 days we managed to talk by chat and explained the problem there is no space to do it in the afternoon it is possible to move it to the morning and offered to change the day which by its agenda did not get to do is given option then hoping you have it clear that the company understands your discomfort but it is by force major not for a game or do not want to provide the service that is understood, that is the most important thing our goal is always to provide good service or help the customer also this service has NO refund but the company made delivery of money another thing to take into account. It is very easy to just write without being clear about other situations but it is also important to have a reality of the facts.
They cannot be trusted. Booked and paid 100% for this months in advance. I accepted the fact that it was "non-cancelable." I also accepted the fact that it was approximately 50% more expensive than other similar tours. Approximately 1 week before the tour they said they had to cancel due to "force majeure." I asked them a number of times what the "force majeure" condition was. They refused to answer, and just kept repeating "force majeure." They offered the tour the next day, but we were only in Punta Arenas for that one day. Their late cancellation meant there were no remaining options. I couldn't cancel, but they did even though they had been paid in full. That's just wrong. That's not called "force majeure." That's called a breach of contract. I discovered that a large cruise ship was in the port that day. I am highly suspicious they sold our seats to the cruise ships. If that's not what happened, they could have explained the alleged "force majeure" The weather that day was beautiful. They did finally give me my money back, but they made it completely impossible for our group to go on a tour. We deserve some sort of explanation, but I think we know what happened. I am completely disgusted with them.
Hello, the agency has been at all times concerned about its clients. The company tried to do everything possible to perform the service in the initial way but it is out of our hands because there was a problem with the company that works with us, they told us that they could not serve us, this is out of our hands and that is why the company decided to return the money acting fairly with our customers. We are sorry for what happened and we will try to find a way to prevent this from happening again.
I was sent numerous emails from tour company Anclatourchile. When I hit "view conversation in Booking Details", each email listed the original time of !:00 for departure. When I arrived at the dock, I was told that tour had left earlier. I called the company and they said they had sent multiple notices of time change. None of my emails mentioned any time change. I have tried to find a way to contact Tripadvisor concerning this matter. There appears to be no way to contact them with a complaint or refund request. If anyone knows how to do this, I would appreciate the information. lpcastles@juno.com. I will not likely use Tripadvisor in the future if this is not resolved.
Mr. Robert regrettable problem of use of the technologies you never answered the messages sent by the portal viator or tripadvisor that is the way to communicate with the customer but you never reply, never write answering the messages we sent photos of the meeting point also we wrote you through the chat on your phone you never responded i.e. no contact even today all that is just look at the emails and the portal and all the messages still exist all appears we regret your inconvenience but we acted the best we could do, all the rest of the people if they responded and if they went to the meeting point to later make the navigation which was perfect for the rest of the group
This was a cruise shore excursion. This tour company was able to secure a boat when my first booked tour operator could not get one and cancelled on us. This tour operator was also able to move times around when we preferred a morning ferry to an afternoon Isla Magdelena ferry. The transfer driver gave our group a nice city drive on the way back to the cruise port as time allowed.

Our Half Day sailing to Magdlena Island Penguin Colony at Puenta Arenas was totally enjoyable. The excursion was relaxed, the guide knowledgeable, and the penguins were were adorable and plentiful.

Long bus ride and boat ride but the number and proximity of penguins made it well worthwhile. Highly recommend this tour.

We were scheduled to travel to Magdalena Island at 1:00 PM. First, the communication about the meeting place was TERRIBLE. I talked to several people who were scheduled for this tour, and not one of us were absolutely sure where we should meet. We finally met our bus driver, and he took us on a 45 - 60 minute drive outside of Punta Arenas to could what best be described as a very flimsy dock. Once we arrived, we sat on the bus for another 45 - 60 minutes. Repeated questions to the driver were not answered to anyone's satisfaction. Near 3:00 PM, we saw the boat returning from the island. Before the boat could dock, the driver told us that it was too windy and the seas were too rough for us to make the trip to the island. So we enjoyed another 45 - 60 minute bus ride back to Punta Arenas, with nothing to show for it except close to three hours of wasted time. After we returned to the Sapphire Princess, I spoke to a friend that was scheduled to go on this excursion early in the morning. He told me that his trip had been cancelled. I am upset that we could not go on our excursion, but no one can control the wind and the weather. However, if an earlier excursion had been cancelled, it seems to me that the logical choice of action would have been to inform us prior to us getting on the bus and wasting almost three hours of our life. I would recommend that you avoid this excursion, unless you enjoy wasting your time!
