We went to several small standing bars and met the owners and other locals. The food was fresh, the saki good (ordering a coke is fine too) and we even got to karyoke! He is basically taking you to his favorite off the beaten path spots and you get to have the most adorable "how's ya mama an 'dem?" moments. I left having a much greater understanding of the local culture. This tour is a must do!!

Tetsu provided an incredible introduction to our first night in Osaka and izakaya culture in general. We had a very long day exploring in our first real night in Japan (we are from NYC) and it was the perfect experience. He was very knowledgeable, very attentive to our food preferences, and easily helped us understand everything that was going on!! Tetsu, my guide, went above and beyond yo make the experience worthwhile. I was traveling solo, just arrived from a very long international flight and this tour made me forget how tired and jet legged I was. We went to several Izakayas where locals go after work. The food was fantastic and affordable, most dishes I had never tried before. I got to chatting with the owners and clients with Tetsu’s help. Don’t go for the massive food tours, try this personalized and much more authentic experience. Really fantastic.

This tour was one for the books and definitely gave me a deep appreciation for Osaka nightlife (which is important especially because I’m not normally the type of person that goes out). Our guide, Tetsu, was kind, knowledgeable, and took us to such great spots! It was so much fun walking around or sitting at an izakaya or bar and conversing with him or other patrons. Tetsu felt more like a friend than a tour guide, which felt so much more genuine. We went on a Sunday, which was great because it was busy out but not packed. It ended up being just my sister and I on the tour which was incredible! We kept talking about how much fun we had as we ended our night and was one of the first things we said when we woke up the next morning. This tour was 100% worth every dollar and I highly recommend it!

I just want to say, i am half Japanese and come to Japan every year to see family.. even then i have never experienced anything like this! I was brought around such nice people, great hospitality, and fresh food! I could not recommend this place even more, you will guaranteed have an amazing, local experience that you wouldn’t be able to have by yourself. まじで、ありがとう😊💕💕💕

Don’t think just book!!! Testu’s tour is *THE BEST* This is absolute a must do for your trip to Japan. I would actually go out of my way to come back to Osaka just to have the experience we had with Testu. He will show you the absolute best time all around Osaka and show you the real izakaya experience. You will not regret it!! Seriously if you’re looking for a sign to boom this tour, THIS IS IT!!!!
