Informative and relaxing tour. Comfortable cruise with great commentary from Captain - an enjoyable way to travel to Fremantle

The cruise to Fremantle left on time which is always a good start. I sat upstairs on the outward and return journey so the commentary on the landmarks made more sense as I could clearly see them. The journey took about an hour and I got off at Fremantle and had a good look around this quirky and vibrant place.

Fantastic way to see the bays of Perth, and then Freemantle. Took ferry one way to Freemantle then bus back for another perspective of Perth. Well worth doing.

We really enjoyed the relaxing cruise along the Swan River, looking at the houses along the river and the numbers of boats moored along the way from Perth to Fremantle. The port of Fremantle was interesting as we came to the end of our cruise. We would recommend the cruise for its enjoyment and for what we learned about the river and the two cities.

Read the paper work it sent us too the wrong jetty the cruise it’s self was very the back ground music and commentary was really good

Absolutely no customer service. Friends over from the UK turned up in person to the Perth terminal a day before they wanted to cruise to check the sailing times of the next day. They were surely given the cruise time for today (1 April 2026) and turned up as instructed at 10:30 to purchase tickets; only to be told no cruises today. No apology, no information as to why. I rang to try and speak to a manager to find out what’s gone on; but no surprise they are all too busy to speak to me. I’ll never use or recommend Captain Cook cruises again. Terrible service and just wasted our friends precious time whilst in Perth.
Thank you for your honest and direct feedback. We are so sorry for this situation, which must have been so disappointing and frustrating for your friends from the UK. It is no excuse but we changed from our summer timetable to our winter timetable on 01 April 2026, and a staff member must have inadvertently provided information for the summer departures. This does meet our usual high standard in customer service, and we sincerey apologise for this.
The boat ride is nice but Fremantle and Perth have so many smoker's and vapors that it is not enjoyable to visit these places. My opinion based on facts: a lot of pre meditated murderers, nicotine addicts with the freedom to kill others. No respect, no self love, just selfish mofos......
Thanks for your feedback Teri. I cannot comment on your observations of people in Fremantle or Perth but I can confirm that we do not permit smoking or vaping on any of our vessels.
Lovely scenic trip to Freemantle, enjoyed a nice glass of wine on the trip. Very attentive staff and informative narration along the way.
