We did the full dat tour of Omaha and Utah Beaches and it was outstanding. Our guide Lucas, is a native of Bayeux and not only shared what happened, he was able to add little known stories and anecdotes about the area, the people and the bravery of the soldiers who fought during the war. It was a very memorable experience.

Lucas was our exceptional tour guide for a private (spouse and me) full day in the Omaha and Utah theaters, including the cemetery overlooking Omaha beach and many important stops and insights along the way. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling made the places we visited so much more meaningful. Rather than simply seeing historic sites, we came away with a much deeper appreciation for the people, events, and stories behind them. One of the things we especially appreciated was the personalized attention that came with the small group of just six people (my wife and I joined by another party of 4) as opposed to many other companies that go with large tour buses. Lucas took the time to understand what our group was most interested in seeing and customized the day accordingly. He was also incredibly flexible, adjusting our itinerary based on traffic and conditions that day so we could make the most of our time. It never felt like a rigid, one-size-fits-all tour—it felt like an experience designed specifically for our group. We also want to recognize Hope, the planning administrator, who was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. Her correspondence was always prompt, helpful, and thorough, making the entire planning process seamless. From the initial planning through the tour itself, this was truly a first-class experience all around. The only downside? We realized just how much more there is to see! We took the two full days Neptune tour, day 1 the British and Canadian sectors and day 2, the American landing areas. The tours were fantastic, informative, and entertaining. The knowledge by the guides, Theo and Remy was amazing. They made us feel like we were transformed in time to the actual battles. The anecdotes and personal stories of some of the soldiers was wonderful to hear and will remain with us long after our visit. I highly recommend OverLord and these two wonderful guides.
