Great tour! I learned alot during this walking tour about Baku and it’s sights but also generally about Azerbaijan.
Ayshen delivered an excellent three-hour walking tour that beautifully contrasted Baku’s medieval Old Town with its striking modern skyline. She guided us through the UNESCO-listed Icherisheher with fascinating insights into the Shirvanshah Palace and Maiden Tower, then transitioned seamlessly to the contemporary Flame Towers. What stood out was her depth of knowledge, engaging storytelling, and ability to explain how Baku balances preservation of its historical heritage with ambitious modern development. She was warm, knowledgeable, and responsive to questions throughout. The pacing was perfect - three hours allowed us to explore both the historic and modern quarters without rushing. A must-do tour. Highly recommended.
