Okinawa HIP-HOP BUS B-2 Course Tour (Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium)

I felt like the tour was disorganized. I booked for 2 adults and 1 teen ( up to 15 yrs old). When we got to Cape Manzano, I was told that I booked a child ticket (6 yrs old and below). I said the TripAdvisor website had an option for ‘teens’ which is what I booked. Although they didn’t make me pay any extra, I ended up paying for her entrance fee to the aquarium as they did not give me a ticket for her. That was disappointing!

Excellent tour- just enough time at each stop to fully enjoy. My main reason to do this tour was to do the aquarium. The lunch option was fine but if I book again I would get without. There are many opportunities to eat without paying ahead for the lunch option. The tour does require use of a phone or other device and headphones to listen to the tour in your language if you don’t speak Japanese. I thoroughly enjoyed it but some people were not happy with this arrangement.

Yuki was a wonderful, cheerful guide and she communicated everything we needed to know effectively despite that we do not speak Japanese. The technology supporting communication on the tour is quite good. I recommend bring earphones/buds so you can hear the info while looking out the window rather than having to read it. During the tour I was quite frustrated by not having enough time to see the Aquarium. This tour tries to go to too many places on one trip! Lunch was served in the Tropical Garden’s cafeteria. I recommend skipping the included lunch, which was pretty yummy if you enjoy ramen. However, you really can’t afford the time! If lunch is to be included I would suggest the tour serve it at the aquarium in front of the whale shark tank instead. Even if the tour cost a little more, it would be worth it. However, looking back over my photos proves we saw a lot of interesting things and places, and considering the price and all the good memories, this tour was worth it as a one day “sampler” of Okinawa. I hope to go back to just the aquarium someday for a longer, more leisurely visit. But that 28-29 foot whale shark did not disappoint! I highly recommend reading the itinerary in detail because a few people seemed to be vocal about the tour doing more things than they expected. They actually did exactly what was on the itinerary!

Good full day tour. Would have preferred more time at Ocean Park/ Aquarium and less time (or no time) at American Village. Enjoyed the day. Tour host was friendly and driver was very good.

The bus and itinerary and the aquarium very well, but the guide dire. She doesn't speak English well, nor did the Americans understand her. He covered his mouth with a mask. But his horrible manners. He yelled at tourists, he exercised a dictatorship of terror...he yelled at an Indonesian family because they were 2 minutes (literally) late. They didn't understand her at all... zero empathy. I needed urgent medication or vacation.

What an incredible experience! My wife and I had a lovely time. While some places may feel rushed if you are unable / or not planning to rent a car this is a great value to see the island and some famous places. The radio guide has many languages. The highlights of our day were the stunning blue water ocean views for hours of the drives. The aquaurium was fantastic and we were able to see everything and walk around outside. There were many tasty treats and time to grab snacks or a lunch as it is not provided. Great day, highly recommended!
