インレットの中心で「サウスカロライナのシーフードの首都」として知られる活気あるウォーターフロント遊歩道、有名なマレルズ・インレット・マーシュウォークをクルーズします。 この風光明媚なストレッチには、ウォーターフロントの人気レストランや、デッドドッグサルーン、ドランクジャックス、ウィキッドマグロ、クリークラッツ、Jピーターズ、ザ・クローハウス、ボヴィーンズ、インレットシップレックバー＆グリルなどの地元の人気店が立ち並んでいます。 チャーターボート、ライブミュージック、ウォーターフロントのエネルギーで賑わうマーシュウォークでは、マレルズ・インレットやマートルビーチ大都市圏の海岸沿いのライフスタイルを真に垣間見ることができます。 マグロ小屋、入り江ビアガーデン、またはボラ小屋にたむろし、その日の水揚げで行き交う漁船を眺めたり、沼に沿ってペリカンや海岸の鳥を見たり、この地域を独特なものにしている塩水の河口を一望できます。 新鮮なシーフード、ウォーターフロントのダイニング、ローカントリーの魅力を体験できるグランドストランド沿いの最高の場所のひとつです。
マーシュウォークを出ると、第二次世界大戦のアメリカ陸軍航空軍墜落船基地（1943年～1945年頃）の史跡に建てられた公共釣り桟橋、マレルズ・インレット・ベテランズ・ピアが見えます。 基地は近くのマートルビーチ陸軍飛行場から航空砲術訓練を支援し、沿岸海域や沼地上空で訓練事故に巻き込まれたパイロットや航空機の所在位置の特定と回収に使用された。 この施設には、長い沼地のドック、貯蔵棟、救助活動の調整に使用される無線小屋が含まれていた。 地元のボートキャプテンやボランティアが沿岸警備隊や復旧作業で軍人を援助することも多く、戦時中はグランドストランド沿いの重要な支援地となった。 第二次世界大戦後、軍は駅を放棄し、公共の釣り桟橋へと変遷した。 時が経つにつれ、1989年のハリケーン・ヒューゴを含む嵐の被害は、元の構造の多くを破壊した。 跡地は後に再建され、2000年代初頭にマーシュウォーク地域に編入された。

曲がりくねった潮の流れと塩沼に囲まれた静かで未開発のバリアー島、ドランクジャック島をセイリング。 地元の伝説によると、島の名は、祝賀の夜の後に乗組員によって取り残されたと伝えられる海賊の酔いどれジャックから取られている。 彼のために帰るつもりだったが、数日が数週間に、数週間が数か月になってしまったという話。 彼らがようやく生還したとき、残されたのは散らばった骨と空のラム酒瓶が目印の風化したキャンプ場―マレルズ・インレットの民間伝承の一部となっている心に残る物語―だけだった。
海岸沿いの桟橋から南下すると、ハンティントンビーチ州立公園内にあるアタラヤ城を通過します。 1930年代に建てられたこのユニークな建物は、アーチャーと、裕福な産業家で世界的に有名な彫刻家アンナ・ハイアット・ハンティントンの冬の住居兼芸術家スタジオでした。 城はムーア風の特徴的なレイアウトで設計され、大きく開けた中庭を中心に、海岸沿いの条件に耐えられるようにレンガや鉄などのシンプルな材料で建設された。 サウスカロライナ時代にアナ・ハイアット・ハンティントンはここで多くの有名な彫刻を制作し、アーチャー・ハンティントンは慈善事業や文化事業に注力した。 豪奢ではなく機能的なデザインを意図的に施したエステートは、クリエイティブなワークスペースと、海岸沿いの季節ごとの住まいの両方を兼ね備えている。 アメリカ合衆国国家歴史登録財に登録されており、サウスカロライナ州でも最も認識可能でユニークな歴史的海岸構造物の1つである。

We didn't see any dolphins. Besides some birds, the only wildlife I saw was a dead fish with blood dripping out of its mouth onto the deck. The sunset was beautiful! The crew moderator talked too much and was very hard to understand. The company needs to invest in a new sound system and speakers. The checkin and parking were very easy and everyone was very nice and helpful.
Very pricey for seeing the tops of 2 Dolphins. I’d recommend getting there earlier than 30 minutes as you have to 1. Find a place to park, which is a challenge, enter license plate get a code once you’re in the place, 2. get the voucher even though you have a screenshot of what you paid for. 3. Wait in line & since it was our first time we didn’t know there would be only indoor boating seating as they must of sold a lot of tickets for the date we chose, very minimal seating on outside of boat. Also weird that life jackets aren’t handed out to kids.
Hi Denise. Thank you for sharing your feedback. Because our dolphins are completely wild, every trip is different—sometimes they put on quite a show, while other days sightings may be more brief. The great thing about this trip is that the experience also includes beautiful Lowcountry scenery and a sunset on the water, giving guests a little bit of everything even when the dolphins are feeling shy! We do recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early for parking and check-in, and during busy summer days, a little extra time can certainly be helpful. Our boat offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with outdoor seating available on a first-come basis. As for life jackets, our vessel is U.S. Coast Guard inspected and, similar to a cruise ship, passengers are not required to wear life jackets during normal operation due to the size and construction of the vessel. Properly sized life jackets for children and adults are onboard as required and available if needed.
Absolutely fantastic. Experienced a beautiful sunset and the dolphins put on a show for us. I didn't see it, but there was also a hammerhead shark spotted.

Crew was amazing and we were able to see a lot of dolphins. Kids loved the hands on experience with the sea creatures.

This was the most beautiful experience. Such amazing scenery and passerby boats. It was so nice to see and very beautiful. Captain and staff aboard were nice and helpful and had amazing energy. I will absolutely be coming again
Get there early! We barely made it. Lol. However, the team was lovely and waited. It’s a little confusing in the area, with a lot of activity, crazy parking, restaurants etc. Tour was relaxing. We saw 2 dolphins. A beautiful sunset. Thanks for a great trip!
It was a very nice evening, albeit hot. The cruise was really nice, we went a ways into the actual ocean. The sunset views were gorgeous, and we spotted a couple dolphins on the way back. We paid the extra $5 per ticket for early entrance and choice seating. The captain was very friendly and pointed out some sites and did some narration. The sound system wasn’t very good though, and we missed some of what he was saying.
There was a strong smell of diesel fuel. The speaker had a lot of static making it difficult to understand what was being announced. Also it was difficult for the 90 year old family members to stand in line for over 30 minutes.
Loved it. Love the scary parts and the waves. GlD it was short enough so no one got sick. Loved Mr Crab Cakes. Handsome and fun and personal. Shoutouts were great. Nice job. We are the crazy sisters for real.
