We completely understand wanting to keep your children comfortable during bad weather- however receiving a cancellation request with less than 5 minutes before tour start was not possible. The reason we run in all weather is due to the inherent changes including this particular day when the rain stopped at the start of the tour and the group ultimately had great weather that evening. As a small, family-owned business, we try to be as transparent as possible about how we operate, which is why our advertisements and booking platforms explicitly state that our tours run rain or shine. Because our tours proceed as scheduled, we are bound by a strict 24-hour cancellation because once the tour goes out, we incur immediate, upfront expenses that we cannot recover, including pre-purchasing food from our restaurant partners and paying our guides for their time. Even though a refund was not possible under our guidelines, our team genuinely wanted you to get value from your booking, which is why we offer the ability to move to another date without any fees and why offered to reschedule your tickets for a future date. This allows us to at least cover our expenses from a missed tour. We are sorry these alternative options did not work for your family's travel schedule and invite you back anytime in the future.
