the wine and food on this tour was amazing. you get to relax on a boat with a great guide and experience beautiful scenery. i usually don’t like white wine but it was amazing

Trip cancelled due to weather

Just awesome! Alam, the tour owner, has created something truly special. He picked us up and took us to Blagaj, to a beautiful and serene lake, where his friends had a restaurant on the lake. There was a boat tied up at the back and we got on it with Alam for wine tasting and food. The wine was excellent and the food was even better, with incredibly generous portions. It was beautifully cooked, and presented - we had everything from trout, to local cheeses, to local meats, salads and dessert. Once the eating was done, we took off down the most beautiful river, with no-one else around, just the ducks and the quiet noise of frogs! It was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. We loved it so much, we booked to go kayaking with Alam on another day, on the same river, which was also amazing. This was possibly our favourite trip of the holiday and Alam is an amazing host, and a really lovely, friendly guy. He lived in the US for a good few years so also speaks excellent english. Alam also helped us get to Kotor, recommending a friend of his to drive us, who was excellent company (and an excellent driver round those very windy roads!). In short, do this tour! It's worth every penny!

what an utterly utterly fantastic trip! Magical. enchanting. delicious. fun. friendly and absolutely everything i wanted without knowing i needed it! Alem picked us up on time from mostar and took us the boat! on first sight of the river i was in love! it was clear with abundant fish and underwater activity and just magical! Alem made the trip fantastic he was an instant friend without being intrusive on our experience and taught us about Bosnia, the wine and the beautiful river! Not forgetting the delicious food which certainly was beautifully presented and far too much !(but yummy) all in all i cannot recommend this trip enough…it was so good…. we went back 2 days later to do a canoe trip! great food, delicious wine, great company and a river that is now etched on my memory for ever! love Suzy x

Alem with Cold river tours is one of the best guides we had the pleasure to tour with, very informative and knowledgeable, good people skills and warm sense of humor. Various types of transportation added to the experience in a positive way. Great dinner with very generous portions. All perfectly paired with tasty Bosnian wines. Coming back to Bosnia and Herzegovina is always a treat, but experiencing a super generous dinner and wine while cruising on a beautiful river was something else. This gastro experience was the highlight of my trip. I was a little doubtful because I booked this tour by myself, but Alem made me feel so welcomed and introduced me to other guests. After two glasses of wine I made new friends 😎and we had an incredible time. Love this country and it’s food!!!

After being picked up at the central location in Mostar, we were taken to the Bunica River, where we boarded a beautiful wooden boat. The table was overflowing with local delicacies; truly the kind of feast you usually only see on cooking shows. Lush greenery lined the riverbanks, creating a breathtaking backdrop throughout the cruise. We enjoyed four different wines—and let me tell you, this wasn’t a wine tasting, it was a wine pouring! So much fun! A big thank you to the wonderful family that runs the River Grill. They were incredibly kind, especially the young boy who captained our boat. 🙏

I always do wine tours wherever I travel, and this one was the perfect blend of everything I love — great wine, local culture, and warm hospitality. Our guide, Alam, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience seamless. The dinner was delicious, perfectly paired with excellent wines, and the river cruise was simply magical. Even my boyfriend, who’s not usually into wine, absolutely loved it! We also met another lovely couple on the tour, which made the evening even more fun. Highly recommend!
