This was a brilliant day out for a lone traveller. It took only minutes to become accustomed to snowshoes, and I could then enjoy the hike in pristine forest. Kouhei is a deeply knowledgeable host, a lover of the mountains and forests, and clearly a committed environmentalist.

The experience was relaxed and fun even though there was a bit of walking involved. Lake Kagami was an absolute highlight and we were very fortunate to a have perfect weather. My family and I have just had the most amazing experience with our guide Kouhei hiking through the snow covered Togakushi National Park. The scenery is so beautiful and Kouhei is the quintessential professional guide. His knowledge of the areas flora and fauna, it's history, it's folklore demonstrates how truly connected he is to this land. For us tourists who spend so much time pounding the pavements of Japan's major cities, this is the Shinrin-yoku reset you need to have. Thank you Kouhei🙏

The guide and tour were excellent. They had all the gear we needed and a very picturesque route to hike through. I would definitely recommend this tour. Unfortunately, due to avalanche threat we couldn’t visit the temple.
