We spent a fantastic day visiting both the archaeological site and the museum of Mycenae. The experience proved to be extremely interesting and stimulating: walking among the remains of such an ancient and iconic civilization really makes an impression. The archaeological site is well-maintained, clean, and well-organized throughout the entire visitor route. The attention given to young visitors was also much appreciated: European students under 25 enter for free (simply show a valid ID card that proves it at the ticket office). The museum inside the complex perfectly completes the visit, offering a clear context and rich with precious artifacts to fully understand what is seen outside. An unmissable stop for anyone in the area, highly recommended!
Without explanation, this site is only less interesting. The views are stunning though
During our tour of Greece, a visit to Mycenae was of course a must. The home of Agamemnon, the captain of the Greeks in the fight against Troy, is a "must do".
