Easy, seamless, and so much fun! The pickup at the visitor center was right on time, and the instructions throughout the day were crystal clear. Every activity was incredibly well-planned, but meeting the husky puppies was the highlight of the entire tour. We had an absolute blast!
A last min addition to our trip, ended up being one of my wife's all-time favorite excursions and we've been to Alaska 7 times...
This was a wonderful experience that made our Alaska trip truly memorable. So much fun and so sweet that we got to meet and hold all the dogs, especially the puppies!
This was such a fun excursion! We did this as part of our cruise excursion and it was so fun! The sled dogs were so cute and had different personalities and the sled ride through the forest was fun! We also loved learning more about them and also loved holding the puppies! A highlight of our Alaska trip!
Our family had an incredible experience with this musher's camp. Our tour guide, Houston, picked us up in town and drove us to the Musher's Camp. He was amazing! Along the way, he told us interesting facts about Skagway and we had a beautiful drive through the mountains until we reached the camp. Once at camp, we got into a Unimog (an awesome off terrain vehicle that took us up the steep mountain) to where the dogs were. The dogs were so excited to run and we were impressed with how well behaved, hard working, and sweet they were. We had a fun ride while they took us on two loops in the sled. Afterwards, we traveled back down to the camp where we learned a bit more about the dogs and the Iditarod and we got to meet the puppies! They had puppies of various ages but we were able to spend time snuggling some of their younger ones which was a highlight. Afterwards, Houston drove us back into town and even took me and my family right to the shuttle back to our cruise ship. I can't recommend this excursion enough - what a great experience and day!
This was a very well organized experience. The scenery was beautiful, the dogs were amazing, the staff were friendly and our guide Paul was very knowledgeable. This was a bucket list experience for me and it did not disappoint.
Lots of fun and good wholesome tour. Dogs and those involved are great.
Great experience. Highly recommend when visiting Skagway! Our tour guide Lou was outstanding! Easy to find the meeting place when arriving on a cruise and much more cost effective than booking with the ship.
Fun family activity! Guides were all knowledgeable and friendly. Loved seeing the puppies at different stages.
I booked after reading all of the great reviews for this excursion. However, I would not recommend it for people who love dogs. The condition of the dogs is horrible. When it was time to "meet the dogs" they didn't care if you pet them of not. The puppies they brought out just turned 3 weeks old.... That is way to young to be passing them around to groups of 23 people. The place smelled terrible, retired dog was super skinny and limping. It was a very sad sight. They don't use a vet at all due to prices. The tour guide said they take care of all dogs themselves. Water bowls chewed up and full of mud.
