We had the best experience diving with Squalo Adventures. It was the highlight of our trip! Andrés and Jesús were so knowledgeable, patient and kind with us! We appreciated their patience since it was the first dive for most of the group. They were extremely attentive and made it such a fun experience. The manchones reef was phenomenal and their guidance through it made it even better. They made sure to point out any crazy/rare fish. I would definitely recommend them and would dive with them again next time I’m back.

We did the Discover Scuba Dive with Squalo Adventures and had an amazing time. From the moment we booked, everything felt smooth. The website made it easy to understand what was included, and booking was super straightforward. Manuel reached out the afternoon before the dive just to make sure we knew how to get to the dive shop and to answer any last questions — super friendly and responsive, and happy to chat in both Spanish and English. Our instructor, Jesús, was fantastic. We did the instruction in English and he was really clear and thorough when explaining everything. He was super calm, patient, and always put safety first. When we practiced the skills in shallow water, he made sure we felt confident before moving forward — no pressure at all, just helpful and encouraging. Once we were underwater, he was just as great. We decided to skip MUSA and just do the reef, and it was the right call for us. We got to explore two different parts of the Manchones Reef, and it was beautiful — lots of marine life, really peaceful, and always within a safe depth for a first-timer. Jesús even took some great footage and photos for us (we bought the media package, and it was worth it). The equipment was in good shape and clean. I had brought my own mask, but we ended up using one of theirs because it fit better. Jesús even helped prep mine properly by removing the factory film — one of those little details that really showed how experienced and helpful he is. The whole team was super friendly and the vibe was great — relaxed but professional. We also really appreciated that it was just the two of us on the dive, unlike some other schools that had big groups. It made the whole thing feel more personal and way more enjoyable. They even gave us some water and pineapple between dives, which was a nice little bonus. If I had to suggest one improvement, I’d say it would be helpful to have some transportation tips on the website — just to make it easier for first-timers getting to the shop. We figured it out, but a little guidance there would go a long way. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we’d absolutely recommend Squalo Adventures to anyone looking to try diving in Isla Mujeres. Huge thanks to Jesús and the team! Hicimos el Discover Scuba Dive con Squalo Adventures y la verdad fue una experiencia increíble de principio a fin. Desde que reservamos todo fue fácil y claro. La página web explicaba bien lo que incluía la actividad y el proceso de reserva fue muy sencillo. Manuel nos contactó la tarde antes de la actividad para asegurarse de que supiéramos cómo llegar al centro de buceo y para resolver cualquier duda. Fue muy amable y respondió rápido. Además, hablaban tanto español como inglés, lo cual facilitó mucho todo. Nuestro instructor, Jesús, fue excelente. Tomamos la instrucción en inglés y explicó todo de forma clara, tranquila y muy completa. Durante la parte práctica en agua poco profunda, siempre priorizó la seguridad y se aseguró de que nos sintiéramos cómodos antes de seguir. Nunca hubo presión, solo apoyo y mucha paciencia. Gran instructor. Ya en el agua, la experiencia fue aún mejor. Decidimos saltarnos MUSA y enfocarnos solo en el arrecife, y valió la pena. Exploramos dos partes del Arrecife Manchones, lleno de vida marina y muy bonito. Todo a una profundidad segura para principiantes. También contratamos el paquete de fotos y videos, y Jesús hizo un gran trabajo como camarógrafo — ¡quedaron geniales! El equipo estaba en buen estado y limpio. Yo llevé mi propia máscara, pero terminamos usando una de ellos porque estaba mejor adaptada. Jesús incluso me ayudó a preparar bien la mía quitándole la película de fábrica para evitar que se empañara — un detalle que se agradece. Todo el equipo fue muy amable, y el ambiente en general fue relajado pero profesional. Algo que apreciamos mucho fue que solo éramos nosotros dos en la inmersión, a diferencia de otras escuelas que vimos con grupos de más de 10 personas. Se sintió mucho más personalizado y tranquilo. Incluso nos ofrecieron agua y piña entre las dos inmersiones — un detalle súper bueno. Si tuviera que mejorar algo, sería incluir en la página web algunas recomendaciones sobre cómo llegar al centro de buceo. Lo resolvimos por nuestra cuenta, pero unas opciones o indicaciones habrían sido útiles. En resumen: una experiencia segura, divertida y muy bien llevada. Recomiendo totalmente a Squalo Adventures si vas a Isla Mujeres y quieres probar el buceo. ¡Mil gracias a Jesús y al equipo!

Lucy was our instructor and she was incredibly clear, patient, and positive. We felt very confident in her hands even when our nerves were getting the best of us (newbies). The dive was beautiful and we will cherish the photos and videos that she captured!

Had a great experience with Roberto for my first time scuba diving, I was extremely nervous but he put me completely at ease and I throughly enjoyed our time scuba diving and even ended up doing a second dive afterwards. He was great from start to finish, so reassuring, I don’t think I would’ve been able to complete the dive without him. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and a big tick off my bucket list!

We snorkeled on 3/5/23 - outstanding experience for six of us (ages 33-63). The staff was extremely helpful and safe. The reef snorkeling was incredible! Don’t miss a chance to experience swimming with the fish on the Isla!! Squallo is an amazing & extremely safe company! Very well worth the price!

I really enjoyed my dive with this company. They were super helpful and the diving instructors were fantastic! I felt safe and taken care of as a new diver. I will be diving with them again on Isla Mujeres!

We'v been out with Daniel, Pedro and Ricardo. It was a amazing experience and there gave as the feeling to be save. The dive spots and the water were beautiful. Every time again!!

A couple of days ago we wanted to try the world of diving, and we decided on squalo, what a great success! They have a staff, from first to last, attentive, helpful and patient! And from the experience to say, words are missing, not only the precious reefs, but also seeing you in a world so alien to yours and feeling so integrated. We will definitely repeat and if we return through Mexico it will be with squalo! Thanks guys!
