This was a fantastic experience to learn more about the history and culture behind Vietnam's famous coffees. Our instructor Mark took the time to understand everyone's coffee preferences and tailored some of the drinks to match. There were lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved and understand why each ingredient is used and the ratios. The wines at the end were also a nice way to finish and you learn the famous Vietnamese cheers. You receive all of the recipes after the session, can't wait to try these when I get home. I also really appreciated Mark's suggestions for places to find famous coffees as well as other food options in Hanoi. Great to have insight from a local foodie!

Mark and Kim were exceptional in their knowledge during the class and were passionate in teaching us about coffee making. Their encouragements and enthusiasm made the whole experience even more amazing. 10/10 recommended 😊😊😊

One of our best experiences of the trip! The coconut coffee, egg coffee, and Vietnamese black coffee we made were all delicious, and I look forward to getting home to follow the clear simple instructions sent after via text. My friend was initially sceptical about doing a coffee workshop, but Mark crafted a unique, fun, and educational experience, and after he was glad he took the time to take part in this awesome activity. Mark’s friendly and engaging personality elevated the afternoon and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. He put his heart into our time with him and it took the experience to the next level. We had a great time and highly recommend!

This was a great experience.... A definite must do if you like coffee and want to appreciate Vietnamese coffee. I was a solo traveler too and it was a fun way to hang with people. Our instructor was super enthusiastic as we made five different coffees plus learned about coffee (did you know that Vietnam was the biggest coffee bean exporter after Brazil? I didn't----). The way it's set up is that everyone participates so it's not like you're staring at an instructor lecturing you. Favorite coffees were egg coffee and coconut coffee, both of which we made. It's actually a class I'd happily do again to. And this was the coffee workshop most recommended by my hotel and I see why it is so highly recommended on Trip Advisor too. They picked us up, dropped us at the coffee making sight (air conditioned), and brought us back to our hotel. A definite score! (and note on lower floors they had cooking classes that looked great too). (Note: My class was actually called Hanoi Coffee Workshop: Make Taste Five Signature Brews+History Story by Su Quan Roastery)

Alex was an amazing host who kept the whole session lively. The coffee we made and the history behind the culture of coffee and life in vietnam was beautiful and a great experience.

The workshop was great, I loved it. I went there alone and learned a lot about coffee. Trung was very pleasant. His good humor helped us feel comfortable, he was an incredible kindness!! I highly recommend this workshop where we learned how to make 6 different coffees!
