Great for all ages, but hard to see in big groups but great experience all the same! Gift shop was not overpriced and not pushy! I would highly recommend.

Salli took us to the Malcolm Douglas crocodile park.from broome and Surrounds tours. salli gave great commentary on the way there and made sure we were looked at the park.while there the staff at the park were also awesome and gave great commentary got to hold a 2yr old crocodile highly recommend.

Overpriced and rather depressing visit to see already overfed crocodiles being tossed fresh chicken carcasses which, in the main were left untouched unless being goaded into snapping at them by the guide. The guide was informative however, there were too many visitors on the tour so it was hard to hear what he was saying. He probably should have had a microphone. By the end of the tour many people had already left as walking from enclosure to enclosure was repetitive and depressing to see so many creatures penned up and out of their natural habitat. The pickup was fine, and on time. The driver was professional and interacted well with the travellers. However, the return journey took over an hour and it was frustrating to see her drive past our accommodation without stopping, while she did other drop-offs. The huge size of the tour consisting it would appear, of a combination of other tour operatives etc was disappointing. We were lead to believe there was a limited number of places available, thus expected a much smaller group. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the tour. I think it was over priced and over rated. Unless you’re desperate to see crocodiles in captivity, your tourist $ would be better spent elsewhere.

We do feel it is important to clarify that the park has a long history of crocodile conservation, education and providing a refuge for crocodiles that cannot simply be returned to the wild. We appreciate that seeing crocodiles in captivity is not something everyone will enjoy, and we completely respect that this particular experience was not for you. Your experience does differ considerably from the feedback we regularly receive from our guests. In fact, we continue to receive very positive reviews from visitors who describe the crocodile feeding as fascinating, informative and a highlight of their time in Broome. However, we appreciate that every guest will view an experience differently, and your comments regarding group size and being able to hear the commentary are valuable feedback. Regarding the transport provided by Broome and Around Bus Charters and Tours, we are pleased to hear that your pickup was punctual and that you found your driver professional, friendly and engaging. We are sorry, however, that you found the return journey frustrating. With multiple accommodation drop-offs, the route does need to be organised across all guests travelling on the service, which can unfortunately mean passing a particular property before returning to it later in the drop-off sequence. We are also sorry that you expected the overall experience at the park to involve a smaller group. While we provide the transportation component, visitors from a number of operators and independent travellers may be at the park for the public feeding experience at the same time. Thank you again for your feedback. Overpriced. It was nearly a $100 each person to watch already overfed crocodiles being coaxed into snapping at fresh chicken carcasses. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate about crocs but it ended up being very repetitive as the huge crowd on the tour followed him from enclosure to enclosure. By the end more than 70% of the tourists had drifted away. Including the transportation in the tour is a bonus but it ended up taking over an hour to get back to our hotel.

As mentioned in response to your other review, we appreciate that a crocodile park and refuge experience will not appeal to everyone. Many of our guests have a very different experience and regularly tell us they find the crocodile feeding, knowledgeable commentary and opportunity to learn about these remarkable animals fascinating and a highlight of their visit to Broome. We do appreciate your acknowledgement that the guide was knowledgeable and passionate, and that having transportation included was a bonus. We would also like to clarify the return travel time. Significant roadworks on the route to and from the park were adding approximately 20 minutes to journey times, in addition to the time required to return guests to their various Broome accommodation properties. We appreciate that this made the return journey longer than expected and understand your frustration. The public feeding experience can also attract visitors from other tour operators and independent travellers, so unfortunately the overall number of people attending the park is outside the control of Broome and Around Bus Charters and Tours. While this particular Broome crocodile experience clearly wasn’t the right fit for you, we appreciate your feedback and are pleased that you found both the guide knowledgeable and the transport a worthwhile inclusion.
