While not a cheap way to see this experience it was excellent and worth the money. If you had 2 couples it is the same price and would make it excellent value. We could pick the time to suit the tide unlike public buses or tourist buses. Our guide was a lovely man who picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel door.
Sorry, the guide (taxi-driver) recommended the wrong time for this event. Therefore, we were there at flood time and there was nearly no flow at this time. (We were there again 2h later privately on our journey and there was signficant flow at this time).
Our guide Muhammad took our small group of four to view the current. The viewing point is right on the edge of the waterway and it is very easy to see. The current is more pronounced during high tide. Muhammad took us to another beautiful viewpoint and gave us lots of information about the area. This was a very comfortable way to view the current.
