We had the most amazing day exploring the west side of Madeira with Vanscape Tours, and I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. Our guide, Jazz, was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we met him, he made us feel so welcome and genuinely looked after. He was friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful sense of humour that made the whole day so much fun. The scenery was simply breathtaking. We visited stunning waterfalls, incredible viewpoints, and some of the most beautiful parts of the island that we would never have found on our own. Jazz shared so much local knowledge and even gave us brilliant tips and recommendations for the rest of our holiday, which we’ve already started using! The jeep was incredibly comfortable, and Jazz was an excellent driver, making us feel completely safe while still making the off-road sections great fun. What really made the day special was how personal it felt. By the end of the tour, it genuinely felt like we’d made a new friend rather than just had a guide. This was an amazing day. We were in for a 2 day cruise stop. We booked this fairly last minute and from the moment I booked, the level of communication and adaptation gave us a sense of confidence that we picked correctly. Jazz was or guide and by the end of the day, we felt like we made a friend. The Jeep was clean and comfortable. The conversation was easy and the local knowledge was appreciated. The sights were like none that we have ever seen before. This is a magical place. From the top of the island we looked down on the clouds. The forest that we went to was enchanting. The roads were narrow and Jazz expertly navigated them. And the off road bit was fun! He took pictures, videos, and made last minute decisions when there was an opportunity to see something special. We always seemed to be ahead of the crowds. Like he knew something no one else did. What a day. While this was our first time to Madeira, after our experience, we know it won’t be our last.

A wonderful trip with Jaz (driver /guide who was courteous and polite throughout. He has a great sense of humour and made the trip interesting and fun . Jazz was a phenomenal tour guide for our family which included 2 teenage boys. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. The tour had incredible views and we ended with one of the best poncha spots on the island. Highly recommend taking a tour with him.

Highly recommend! We stayed at a VRBO in Prazeres and they adjusted and accommodated the excursion to our location. Our guide Jazz was amazing. Great sense of humor, knowledgeable, and managed to keep a good pace without making us feel rushed in any way. It was obvious he was both well known and well respected at the venues we visited. We spent a full day and enjoyed every minute. We visited: Valley of the Nuns, Paul do Mar, Ponto du Sol, Punto do Pargo, and Estreito de Camara de Lobos for lunch at Caminho do Lombo do Salāo No 13- which was absolutely delicious with warm, friendly and knowledgeable service. We finished with drinks at Maktub Pub.

I recently had the privilege of living an absolutely unforgettable Jeep experience and I really feel like I need to share it. From the first moment to the last, everything greatly exceeded expectations. The great highlight goes, without any doubt, to the guide Juan Jasmin, known as Jazz. It was simply exceptional in every respect. In addition to showing an enormous professionalism, he revealed a deep knowledge about the island, sharing interesting, clear and engaging explanations throughout the whole journey. Note that you have a true passion for what you do and that makes the whole experience even more special. The comfort of the Jeep also deserves a special mention. The journey was always very pleasant, even on the most challenging trails, which allowed to enjoy every moment with total tranquility and safety. Another point that made all the difference was the fact that Jazz has performed two functions in an exemplary way. In addition to being a guide, he was also an amazing photographer. Captured unique moments allowing us to take home memories that we would hardly be able to record alone! In short, it was a complete experience, well organized and memorable! I highly recommend to anyone who wants to discover the island in an authentic, comfortable and full of unforgettable moments.

Incredible tour! Jaz was such a good tour guide and also took amazing photos. He had a camera that took really cool photos and videos. We had one tour booked and decided on adding a full day tour based on our experience. The ride is very comfortable and you get to see so many beautiful sites throughout the tour. Highly recommend a half or full day tour, but with the full day tour you get to see so much more of the island. Thank you Jaz!
