エル・ディル・エル・バハリとして知られるハトシェプスト女王の神殿は、第18王朝（紀元前1490年～1469年頃）に約20年間エジプトを統治したトトメス1世の娘、ハトシェプスト女王によって建てられました。彼女は古代エジプトを統治した唯一の女性ファラオでした。 ハトシェプスト女王の神殿は、ハトシェプスト女王を称える記念神殿であるだけでなく、エジプトの建築の偉業の1つでもあります。セネンムト（ハトシェプスト女王の執事兼建築家）によって設計されたこの葬祭殿は、1,000年後の古典ギリシャ建築によく似ています。 ナイル川の西岸、ルクソール（古代テーベ）の向かいに位置するハトシェプスト神殿は、テーベの墓地の一部です。半円形の崖に建てられたこの記念神殿は、王家の谷への入り口となっています。ジェセル・ジェセル（最も神聖なもの）は、ハトシェプスト神殿の主要な建物の名前です。
ツタンカーメンの墓は、墓番号 KV62 としても知られ、王家の谷にある古代エジプト第 18 王朝のファラオ、ツタンカーメン (在位紀元前 1332～1323 年頃) の埋葬地です。墓は 4 つの部屋と入口の階段と廊下で構成されています。当時のエジプトの他の王家の墓よりも小さく、装飾もあまり施されていません。おそらく、ツタンカーメンが早世した後、王族以外の人物の墓として改造されたものと思われます。 オプションの訪問には、現地で購入できる追加のチケットが必要です。

Our trip to Luxor was a truly unforgettable experience. From the hotel we were picked up in an air-conditioned private vehicle and started with a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Our guide, Hany, was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything about Egyptian history and the pharaohs. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut was impressive, and the Colossi of Memnon were very impressive. At the end of the day we visited the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. This tour is a must for anyone interested in history and archaeology!
