Val takes you to all the places you don't get to see on a typical tour- you get to see the hidden gems that only the locals know about! My son and I had an absolute blast! We learned a ton about Madeira and saw some spectacular sights. Highly recommend this tour!!

My wife and I spent a thorougly entertaining day with Valdemar, who was extremely knowledgable of the history of Madeira and its flora; we didn't stop talking and shared a good sense of humour. We were only in Madeira for 4 days and it was unusually wet, so a private tour on our last day meant that Valdemar could both tailor the day to our needs and stay away from the rain in the west. Of course the landrover was able to go where no sane person would take a hire car and we visited a couple of the highest peaks, with their breath taking and peaceful scenery, and some of the eastern ports, still relatively untouched by mass tourism, enjoying much in between.
