If I had to go to one place in Johannesburg I would go to Villa Lesedi. I learned a lot about the culture of 5 South African tribes. Guide Lebo explained everything with such lightness and good humor. She's great! The dance show at the end of the tour is a separate show. The energy of the place and the voices and the movement of the bodies and the synchrony... It's indescribable! And the guide who got me, also called Lebo was sensational! Answered all my questions about South Africa and Johannesburg specifically. I was impressed by his knowledge. And believe me, I asked enough. I recommend this tour to everyone!
Being our first time to Joburg, I knew it would be great to understand the culture. Evie, our tour guide, led us to the right places. Lesedi Cultural Village was one of the standout days of our visit. Our local guide walked us through four South African cultures using stories, music, and dance, and visitors are pulled right into the middle of it. Nobody stays a spectator for long. The performances were excellent, and the buffet let us try local dishes we’d never otherwise have ordered, ostrich and antelope included. Evie’s running commentary throughout added context we wouldn’t have picked up on our own. I highly recommend this activity if you want to learn more about South African culture.

A friendly private guide tour, rich in local cultural stories, learning about the lifestyle of different tribes, traveling alone or traveling with multiple people is recommended!
My chauffeur brother, Jreffith, was particularly sweet and warmly entertained me. The trip was also my first experience of a local cultural village, where people were very welcoming. As soon as you arrive at the door to sing, the guide brother explains the village in great detail, past culture little by little presented before my eyes, before leaving also enjoyed their dances, the thrill of bursting veins, the blast of drums impinging on the senses, the passionate rhythm brings extraordinary joy.
Highly recommend this tour. It was great to learn about the different tribes.
