My son is lego obsessed and had an absolute blast! It was expensive but a fun treat for our family. We stayed a couple hours and my kids enjoyed the rides and lego building activities. Everything was wonderful! The crowds were good. Staff was friendly and it was an overall fun atmosphere and experience. Parking was the most ridiculously expensive part though and I did not see anything anywhere to scan to get a parking discount. So I had to pay like $21 for 3 hours here. Kids were 9, 7, 5 and it was perfect for their age ranges. I think it’s best for little ones rather than teens or tweens.
More than enough things to do to keep grandkids busy for hours.
We bought a city pass and got to enjoy LEGOLAND, it was wonderful experience, the children where so excited, we spent about 4 hours there, with children aged 2 to 8, they loved it. the place is small enough to feel safe .
LEGOLAND is overpriced for what it is, with limited activities, rides, and engagements. The kids were bored rather quickly, as there were not enough Lego at the stations for the number of kids. There’s only so many times you can watch the “Movies” in their theatre. Even with the discounted tickets, not worth the money. The staffs only purpose, it seemed, was to get you to spend money at the store, and they were good at planting ideas in the kids heads.
Lego good very good fun experience and wizard ride I'm going to Lego land not the discovery center hopefully I see Lego there
Today August 1st we were in the place and the truth leaves much to be desired, I had more expectation for the comments but in a fairly objective opinion, there are more lay people in my house than in the site. It seems more like a room only with the difference that they do not take care of the children, there are only two attractions of mechanical games, the rest are play areas to assemble simple monkeys, but normal, for what is paid I would have thought they were of the robots. For my taste the ONLY NICE thing is the representation of the city of San Antonio. They should put more production in the place, I hope my opinion serves you.
It was fun. One ride was broke. Super crowded. The 4d video was fun and the VR was fun . It was neat to look at lego san antonio the skill behind those builds.. My kids had a good time long wait lines n just to many people to be able to fully enjoy the whole place. It is fun but not worth the cost in my opinion.
Totally fun time at Lego Discovery Center today. We bought tickets ahead of time online. We were able to book a time of our liking and arrived with plenty of time to enjoy the space and all the Legos we wanted. It's not The first attraction is a ride, where you have to shoot your way through to find and save a baby dragon. Then you will head through Lego Master Kevin's 1.5million piece rendition of the city. It is a really amazing likeness of your favorite Downtown location. We also opted for the $8 activity book, which gives the Discovery Center rooms a purpose. The kids can complete tasks and stamp their progress. If you get hungry there's an in house cafe that serves sandwiches and Starbucks. There is another ride called Merlin's Adventure, teo playgrounds (one for little kids and and one for little kids). Every other hour there's a Lego Expert led Creative Workshop. Violet was super patient with my kiddos. They would regularly ask her about the Legos around the Discovery Center. She was awesome and taught us names for the weird shapes like BURP and SNOT. The one thing we missed was the 4D Lego Experience, but the kids were stoked about coming back...so, for next time. It was a fun time for Lego builders if all ages. We would go again.
We came here for my 8 year olds birthday from out of town. We go at least twice a year but this was out first time to go in December. Also, the first time there was no school field trip. It was still pretty crowded. The staff look a little unenthused. But, a BIG thank you to the manager. I had told one of the employees up front my kids really wanted to see the Lego Santa but my oldest son has Celiacs Disease and both boys Peanut allergies. So going into a party room was just not possible. I found the manager on the floor working and explained our situation and He so kindly accommodated us by letting my boys meet Santa and take pictures separate from the cookie area/room. It was sooo nice of him to do that and my boys having stopped talking about meeting THE LEGO SANTA!! Thank you for s memorable adventure!
A picture is worth 1000 words. I wish I had seen pictures like the ones I took before we went. I'm really not too hard to please but this was a bit ridiculous in my opinion. We visited this Lego land location back in September. I was shocked by how dirty it was. We were there on a Tuesday afternoon, definitely not a busy time. It has clearly been in serious need of cleaning for a while. The San Antonio "mini land" was super cute. It was really dirty too but that didn't bother me as much as seeing the filth where my children were actually playing. The building tables were caked with grime, the climbing structure had piles of who knows what under and around them and there were drifts of hair and dust around some of the statues. If no one is cleaning up the obvious stuff like this, I can't help but feel like none of the touch surfaces are being sanitized either. I will say that I reached out to the customer service and they were quick to respond. They said it would be addressed. The staff was all very friendly. They got an extra star for those reasons. I did not go into the cafe or on either ride. I don't know if they were clean or not. Ultimately, my kids thought it was great. I was so grossed out that it was difficult to enjoy.
