David took us for our first leveda walk on Madeira, everything ran smoothly and he shared a few facts about the places we drove past on route and on the walk. Saw the native forest, fire crest birds, trout in the leveda and had a welcome drink and loo stop in the cafe at the end. Thank you

Lovely walk by the levada. Our guide was very accommodating and went his way to show us the beauty of Madeira. We also ended up climbing and crawling in the water, but only because we asked for it😁. It was not only fun but educating. We learned things about the surrounding nature that we would have never noticed on our own. Recommended!

Miguel took us through the Levada with respect for the nature and its ressources. He told us a lot about the island and its history. He also drove us to Santana- even though it was not a part of the trip. The walk is not difficult. Make sure to wear practical shues that can take some water.

Our guide was fantastic and very adaptable to whatever we wanted, in terms of rests, snacks. We definitely learned more and saw more with a specialist guide, with an extra visit to a bar on the way home. Thank you!

Great levada tour in easy walked terrain. David our guide was lively gentle and spoke perfectly English. Told willing about Madeira history flora etc etc etc a great day in the rainforest on Madeira

Our lively and informative guide Davide was great company walking the beautiful levada and pointed out the changing environment from eucalyptus to original laurisilva forest. He also made sure we saw the historic buildings in the area that we had asked for, and rounded the trip off with a stonking poncho with freshly squeezed fruits in a friendly local bar. A truly memorable day!

I had a great walk through the Levadas with my guide, David. The communication with Nico was great, I was asking for a tour by myself on a day they don't normally do this walking tour and Nico was quick to respond and flexible coming up with a fair rate for a private tour. Beautiful walk made. The trip is clearly marked. Fine to do even without a guide. Only then you have to rent a car. We met very few people on the way. Recommended!

It is a lovely easy walk. Our guide was great and we had a congenial group of 4. It was a bit drizzly during the hike, which detracted from some of the pleasure. Would love to do again on a sunny day.
