ラーナック城はダニーデン中心部から車で20分の壮大なオタゴ半島に位置しています（城への公共交通機関はありませんのでご注意ください ） 。 入場券は開館時間内であればいつでもご利用いただけます。 到着時にゲートハウスに立ち寄ってバウチャーを提示するだけです。 城と庭園を探索するには少なくとも2時間かかります。ただし、多くのゲストはこれより長い時間を過ごします。 敷地内のボールルームカフェは、毎日午前9時30分から午後4時30分まで営業しており、ホットドリンクとコールドドリンク、美味しいキャビネットフード、充実した調理メニューを提供しています（クリスマスの日は休業 ） 。 ガイドツアーも追加料金で毎日催行しています。このオプションへのアップグレードについてはゲートハウスでお問い合わせください。 ラーナック城は365日オープンしています。 心に残る体験をしていただけることを楽しみにしております。

Breathtaking. Educational. Beautiful
A great visit. A lovely castle, well restored. Loved the videos. Beautiful gardens.
Very olde worlde Exceeded expectations
We booked a guided tour and Christine was our lovely host. Met us at the front door dressed smartly in her kilt and gave us a very knowledgeable and detailed tour of the castle. It was a cool autumn day and not very busy so we were pleased to be her exclusive guests. Well worth a visit when in Dunedin, and worth paying for the detailed guided tour.
Enjoyed this very much. Great getting it cheaper through TripAdvisor- otherwise quite expensive at the gate.
I paid for the one hour tour of the Castle and it was worth every cent. The history was fascinating and although the delivery by the hostess was quite ‘dry’, the information added so much to understanding the history and ensuing tragedies 🫢 Highly recommend this visit if visit Dunedin - you won’t regret it.
Gorgeous castle and grounds. The gardens were exquisite. The castle itself is furnished opulently and the renovations are majestic!
The sort of castle you could live in, rooms not too large, and fabulous gardens. We had a guided tour which, although full of interesting facts and history, prevented us from exploring by ourselves and taking in the views to a full extent. It's easy to catch up on all this online these days and spend precious time outside if the weather is good. There is an excellent cafe but we didn't have time to sample the produce.
Such an unusual find in New Zealand. The castle has been beautifully restored. The gardens are beautiful. Lovely tea shop we had mushroom soup and crusty bread 🤤
Well worth the visit, and actually much more interesting than I anticipated.
