I’m not normally a huge fan of bus tours, but this one was wonderful! I booked it because we wanted to see the highlands, but I was worried about driving there. After seeing the rough terrain, I’m glad we took a tour! I’m sure we’d have popped a tire. We met at Midgard base camp where we stayed (wonderful). Our guide was Raggie and he was phenomenal! He pointed out things as he drove and made a few photo op stops on the way to the park. When we got there, he hiked the loop with us and guided us through the beautiful rainbow mountains. The pictures don’t do them justice: they’re stunning! It’s a pretty easy hike through a well-worn path. We’re in our 60’s and had no issues. It’s worth the hike in to see the natural beauty. On the way home, Raggie stopped several more times to show us a beautiful lake, crater, and waterfalls. It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and the views were breathtaking! We were in Iceland for a week, and this tour was the highlight! Thanks to our amazing guide, Raggie, we saw so much Iceland beauty! He also shared stories about Iceland we would have never known such as the 12 Santa trolls (look it up). I highly recommend this trip!

Amazing experience. 10/10. Tour guide Lilly was awesome. Given freedom to do own hike at one point which I appreciated. Taken to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in the highlands. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Ideal way to enjoy the highlands without the stress of driving yourself. Wild and magical scenery. Even though it was an 8.5 hour day, the time flew by with several photo stops and two hours to hike in Landmannalauger.

We got to see a lot of things. We liked that we had 3hrs to explore the mountains and hot springs. The guide stopped by other attractions on the way there and back. During our jeep travel we felt safe and comfortable, the guide had a microphone so everyone could hear at the back. We felt that the guide could have offered more details about the sightings but overall we had a great day.

Midgard was wonderful! We took two of their day tours, the Landmannalaugar Super Jeep tour and the Thorsmork Super Jeep tour. They were different and both fabulous! We also did the 1-hour chat with a travel expert to review our itinerary. Bjorg was extremely knowledgeable and incredibly helpful fine-tuning our itinerary to the perfect trip for our family! As a side note, we also ate dinner in their restaurant, which was delicious. I highly recommend Midgard tours, the chat and the restaurant.

Had a terrific four day, three night experience at Midgard, which translates to “meeting place.” Also did the Thorsmork Day Hike and the South Coast tour, under their Summer Adventure program. The guides, we had three different ones, were completely awesome. Their knowledge is broad and deep and highly engaging and entertaining. Stayed at the Midgard Hostel which was perfect. Each meal there was excellent. Met terrific people. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

I can’t say enough good things about our guide Ragnar. He is so knowledgeable as he grew up in Iceland and knew a lot about so many different things. He was funny and kind. He got to know our family and was able to plan things that he tuned into that we really would like. He made our trip extra special. I am so glad I booked with Midgard. They provide tour guides that are above and beyond awesome. The dinner was great too. Don’t skimp on this as having a great tour guide who truly knows the area and is great with people makes a lot of difference. The places he took us to were so beautiful that words can’t describe it. Go with Midgard and see for yourself. Highly recommended!!

Hands down one of the best tour we have ever had. Their friendliness and professionalism were evident from the moment we made the reservation to the end of our tour. Carlos, our guide, was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. The itinerary took us to some truly astonishing spots. We also love the fact that once we get to Landmannalaugar we had enough time to hike and enjoy the geothermal spring. The base camp itself is neat, clean and comfortable, and the on-site restaurant served really great food. It's an ideal spot to eat dinner after the long tour day. All in all it was a great experience and value for the money.

The tour was an all-around positive experience; very thoughtful, lovely guide Carlos provided very good information about the country, the people, and the events. The tour was informative, but not too strenuous. There were short breaks again and again and also flexibility with the program items; definitely highly recommended. We would come along on further tours again immediately and without hesitation.
