澄みきった水位で知られるこの美しい＆風光明媚な22マイルの公共の湖には、個人所有のウォーターフロントと崖の家、いくつかの海岸沿いのレストランがあり、世界チャンピオンのウェイクサーファー、アシュリーキッドとローリーヘイガーが住んでおり、ダウンタウンから車でわずか20分です。オースティン。
1982年に建てられたこの鋼製アーチ型橋は、象徴的なオースティンのランドマークです。オースティン湖（長さ1,150フィート）までの距離があり、首都テキサスハイウェイの北部と南部を結んでいます。この橋のアーチ型デザインは、22マイル下の水上で水上スキーヤー、ウェイクサーファー、ボート乗り場を妨害するような支柱を避けるために作られました。
このプライベートゴルフクラブはオースティン湖のほとりにあります。やりがいのある18ホールのコースがあり、人気のあるWGC Dell Match Playなどのトーナメントが開催されます。建築家Pete Dyeによって設計され、ゴルフの伝説Harvey Penickの本拠地です。
この美しい5エーカーの公園は、オースティン湖のほぼ800フィートに位置しています。マウントボネルの崖は頂上から湖を眺めるだけでなく、オースティン周辺の広大な丘を眺めるのに最適です。
1916 年に建てられたこのイタリア風の湖畔の別荘は、アラモの保存に尽力した慈善家クララ ドリスコルの邸宅でした。現在、この 14 エーカーの敷地はザ コンテンポラリー オースティンの本拠地となっており、屋外彫刻公園、ラグーナ グロリア美術館、美術学校で構成されています。
このダムは、元オースティン市長にちなんで1940年に操業を開始しました。洪水調節と水力発電の目的で建設されました。上流にはオースティン湖があり、下流にはレディバード湖があります。どちらの貯水池もダムの建設によるものです。
オースティン湖のウォーターフロントにあるこの35エーカーの野生生物保護区は、希少種、絶滅危惧種、または絶滅危惧種の避難所であり、ガイド付きツアーを通じて一般に公開されています。

A comfortable cruise with captain Ronaldo. We made a stop for the bathroom and grabbed a drink. I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful homes. It was a 25 minute uber ride from downtown Austin and I also enjoyed seeing the scenery on the way.

Spencer was an amazing tour guide. He gave us history but he was also personable and relaxed. My only complaint was that it was too short lol. I would've paid for another go around!

What a great excursion. We had never been on the Lake before, and Marco our captain made us feel right at home. Very knowledgeable and conversational guy. By the end of the trip, I could say Marco is the best captain ever! Great guy, returned something to me even after I left the boat. Give this guy a raise!!
