Perfect trip to see Ponta da Piedade. The catamaran was only a quarter full (the capacity is 80, we were only 20), so we had plenty of space. We had deliberately booked the morning trip, because then it is calmer and the sea is also less rough. Halfway we could transfer to a small boat for an additional fee (10 euros p.p.), which took us into the caves. That was a great addition. So we had the comfort of a catamaran plus the cave experience of a small boat. The crew was enthusiastic and friendly and the swim break/relax time was very pleasant. For us, this was the perfect choice.
We booked the catamaran experience to see the coastline and have a swim. The catamaran is impressive but not massive as others available are. It wasn’t overcrowded, my daughter was able to lay on the netting at the front of the boat throughout. The crew were great from captain to barman. To top it off we had well over the 30 minutes being able to jump off the vessel and swim which my kids loved. A great 2.5 hours spent and worth every penny.
We booked the catamaran tour - Caves and Coast of Ponta da Piedade - and were very, very happy with our choice. A special highlight for our 7-year-old daughter was the swimming stop, where we could jump from the deck into the water. The crew was in such a good mood and took very caring care of us. Our 2-year-old son also had a lot of fun! Many thanks for this unforgettable time!!
