京都サムライ体験の特徴 刀の修行以上の、武士の生きた歴史に足を踏み入れる貴重な機会です。 築260年の武家屋敷を舞台に、京都の武士の過去に深く根ざした体験ができる。 他と一線を画すのは、行動、雰囲気、洞察のバランスです。 体験トレーニングと並行して、ゲストは武士について有意義な文脈を得ることができ、その方法だけでなく、これらの伝統がなぜ行われたのかを理解することができます。 伝統的な服装の着用からエキスパートインストラクターによる動きの練習まで、何世紀にもわたる規律によって形作られた生き方に一歩浸ることができます。 刀剣のワークでフォルムを磨き、本物の居合刀で的を斬ります。 体験の締めくくりは、座禅と骨董品の侍刀を持つ機会 ― ― 体と心と歴史をつなぐ。 考え抜かれたデザインで、武士の不朽の精神を力強く紹介してくれます。

My family had a blast learning about the history of the swords presented to us and getting to hold them. I especially enjoyed the demo where we were able to see the power of the blade in action by a trained professional. Most importantly, we had a blast trying our own skills out and appreciated the photography done by the amazing staff at this site.

Amazing samurai experience in Kyoto. We participated with my 16 yo son and he really enjoyed it. I think it is a must do in Kyoto! Great story telling and Katana exercise!

Our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 teenagers 17, 15, 12, all loved this experience. It was well organised, staff super friendly, timing was just right, interesting and everyone loved being able to learn how to use the samurai sword. A highlight of our holiday! Would recommend this experience.

Amazing experience, lasted longer than expected, very immersive as well. I thought they’d only let us swing the sword once and leave it at that but not only did we get to practice beforehand, we also got to do several strikes on the foam pillar which was very fun

We had a wonderful time with the samurai experience. The history of the location, learning a few sword basic moves, and the meditation transported us back in time. It was truly magical and one of the highlights to our time in Kyoto

This was a highlight of our trip, and it was a great chance to learn about history and culture through a hands-on and fun experience. We learned about za-zen, got to handle a 600 year old sword and, of course, got to lean about wielding a Japanese katana. The staff, translators and instructors are all patient, professional, and knowledgeable.
