Great experience! Well organized!
We had a fantastic time on our Jeep safari. We are a family with 4 kids aged 9-20 and they all loved it. Our driver was amazing, so friendly and kind and put up with my son’s music for the trip too! Highly recommend if you want a day seeing the island.
A great day! Perfectly organized - everything went like clockwork. Very flexible drivers, no rushing, good catering, and a great water fight. The only point of criticism is the guide's English. I only understood fragments - I found that a shame.
We had an excellent experience on Mr Ung's tour! So much fun, Johnny was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the sites.
The Koh Samui Jungle Safari by Jeep with Mr. Ung was an amazing adventure and one of the highlights of our trip to Koh Samui. The tour was well organized, exciting, and offered a perfect combination of nature, culture, and breathtaking scenery. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day both fun and informative. The off-road jeep ride through the jungle was thrilling, taking us to beautiful waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, temples, and hidden spots that we would never have discovered on our own. The panoramic views from the mountain were absolutely spectacular, and we had plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The included lunch was delicious, with a good variety of local Thai dishes served in a relaxing setting. The entire day was well paced, and the transportation was comfortable and safe. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, this safari tour is a fantastic way to explore the natural beauty of Koh Samui. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exciting, memorable, and authentic island adventure!
What a fun day in Koh Samui! The jeep tour experience was a fun way to see the sites around the island including a waterfall and some historic sites. The lunch provided was delicious. The water gun fights at the end were an extra fun experience. Highly recommended:)
We had a fantastic day exploring Koh Samui with this tour. Although there hadn’t been enough rainfall for Na Muang Waterfall to be flowing, the team quickly adapted the itinerary and took us to an elephant sanctuary instead. It turned out to be a wonderful experience and showed their commitment to making sure guests still had a memorable day. Our guide, Jom, was outstanding. He was exceptionally polite, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Koh Samui’s history, culture, religion, and nature throughout the trip. He answered every question with patience and made everyone feel welcome. The Jeep ride through the mountains offered breathtaking viewpoints, the visits to the temples and the Magic Garden were fascinating, and the traditional Thai lunch was delicious with beautiful scenery. Despite the change in plans, the day exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a fun, authentic, and well-organized way to discover Koh Samui, I highly recommend this tour—and if you’re lucky enough to have Jom as your guide, you’re in for an even better experience. Thank you for a memorable day!
Hi Gideon! Thank you so much for the lovely review about Jom and the Safari. He is truly a jem and we are incredibly lucky to have him as a Tour Guide along with the rest of our guides at Ungs Magical Safari Tours. We will kindly pass on your compliments to Jom! (he'll be thrilled) Thank you again and we hope you have lots of fun on the rest of your trip. Best wishes, Kate
Great tour, great safary, great vievs, great driver/guide. I can highly recommend
Excellent trip. Was just a little disappointed that the waterfall was dry. Food and guide were excellent 👌
This would be perfect for a family with kids, but didn’t live up to expectations for us. While the guides were friendly and entertaining and the waterfight a good laugh, the group size was far too large to enjoy the sites properly and the trip was longer than it needed to be. There were about 50 people in total in the group between the jeeps, which made it feel like a cruise ship had just unloaded at each location when we stopped off. It would work much better if the jeeps visited the sites in different orders to reduce the number of people at one time, and then got together for the lunch and waterfight. This could be split by language, which would also avoid the English speaking group standing around for 10 minutes while the German group were given information about the site, then vice versa. It also felt like some of the stops were underwhelming and too long, so the tour went on much longer than necessary. The temples and big Buddha viewpoint were interesting. However 30 minutes to look at some rocks was underwhelming and given there had been no rain the waterfall was a trickle and nobody wanted to swim in the pond underneath given it was pretty much stagnant. Obviously they can’t control the weather, but I’d expect the guides to adapt the itinerary and choose an alternative site when it’s too dry to enjoy the waterfall rather than spend almost an hour there sitting around. The ‘jungle safari’ part was not actually off-roading in the jungle, it was some bumpy roads through farmland, so that also felt a bit misleading. That said, the water fight was very good fun (you will be soaked to the skin) and the guides were enthusiastic. I think that if you had limited time to see the island and had kids so needed something more engaging than a standard small/group island tour, this would be perfect. However I do not recommend for adult groups or couples.
I'm very sorry you didn't like parts of the tour. Some people love the energy of the big groups and have a jolly good time. I think a private safari would have been more you thing.
