good route for one day taste of Kilimanjaro. John is very helpful and experienced (he lost count on how many time he has been to the summit!)

John lead a great tour for my wife and me. We hiked to the Mandara huts and the Maundi crater. John toolbgreat care of us and we had a great experience. Don't be like us and not check the national park entrance fee before the tour. It is more than the tour price, but the tour states it is not included, so it is our own fault for getting surprised here. We started at 9 am and finished by about 5 pm. Saw monkeys and hyroxes and the trail was not crowded at all. Weather was a bit rainy, but do not let that detract you.

I recently completed a Kilimanjaro excursion with this great team, and I cannot recommend them enough! From the moment we were picked up in Tanzania to the final celebratory descent.Our guides, were absolute professionals. Their deep knowledge of the mountain, constant safety checks, and encouraging 'pole-pole' (slowly, slowly) pace made all the difference. The tour was fantastic. For nature lovers, having the opportunity to hike on Mount Kilimanjaro is a once in a lifetime experience. My girlfriend and I joined the tour at the end of July 2026. The sky was cloudy, but fortunately it did not rain. Our guide was Bubusha, and we were also accompanied by Aruna, a trainee who will become a guide in the future. They were both fantastic and kindly answered all our questions. The ideal clothing is a technical T shirt, a windproof jacket, and either shorts or long trousers, depending on your preference. Once we reached the highest point of the hike, we enjoyed a delicious packed lunch. Highly recommended, 5 stars!
